Today wasn’t about a flat tyre. 🛞
It was about kindness, generosity and taking the time to teach someone a skill instead of just fixing the problem.
Johnboy reached out after getting a flat tyre. His regular support workers couldn’t assist and he wasn’t sure what to do. Paddy to the rescue!
One of the things I love most about being a small, family-run business is that sometimes we can step outside the paperwork and just be humans helping humans.
We can still do things the old country way. (The Ganmain way as I like to call it)
Not everything has to have an invoice attached. Hang on… we “missed out” on Sunday rates? Crazy, right?
A flat tyre is a flat tyre. If we’d help a stranger on the side of the road, why wouldn’t we help someone we’ve known and supported for years?
If you know John, he is always the first person to offer others help. He’s got a very kind heart so it’s only fair this is reciprocated.
For us, support isn’t always about billable hours.
Sometimes it’s just about answering the phone, lending a hand, building confidence and making sure people know they’ve got someone in their corner.
That’s the kind of service we’ll always strive to be.
Cheers to Paddy for being a top bloke! Not only did you teach Johnny how to change a tyre, you repaired the puncture too, saving him a trip to the tyre shop. 🔧🛞🫶🏻
