🏃♂️ 42.2km for Project 365 ❤️
Sunday, 13 October, our friend Mario Anania will take on the Melbourne Marathon — his very first full marathon.
42.2km is an enormous physical and mental challenge, but Mario has chosen to take it on while raising funds and awareness for something that matters deeply to him, Project 365.
For Mario, the connection is a personal one.
Pete has been one of Mario’s oldest friends, with a friendship that goes right back to their younger years. Pete, his brother Joe and their mate Peter Grinter welcomed Mario into their circle, and what followed was a lifetime of friendship.
There were countless afternoons at the Rourke’s — cricket in summer, football in winter and, apparently, plenty of arguments over Mario’s awesome old bike! 😂
Those friendships, memories and connections to this community have stayed with Mario throughout his life. Now, he’s chosen to give something back by taking on one hell of a challenge in support of Project 365.
We are incredibly grateful that Mario has chosen to run 42.2km to help us continue building resilience, breaking down the stigma around mental health and supporting people across our community.
There will no doubt be some tough kilometres ahead, but we know Mario will give it everything he has.
Thank you, Mario, for putting one foot in front of the other for Project 365. ❤️
If you would like to get behind Mario, every donation — big or small — helps us continue the work of Project 365 in our community.
We’ll be cheering you all the way to that finish line, Mario! 🏃♂️❤️
