⛳ Fairways, greens and defibrillators.

Over the past few weeks, we've visited a number of golf courses, carrying out annual defibrillator servicing to ensure their AEDs remain rescue-ready.

Golf courses are unique environments. Players are often spread across large areas, emergency access can be challenging, and many members and visitors fall within higher-risk age groups. Having a well-maintained defibrillator onsite can make a critical difference when every minute counts.

A defibrillator is only as good as its maintenance. Annual inspections help ensure batteries, pads and the device itself are ready to perform when needed most.

On the road again!
Great to be back visiting the NSW & VIC Alps last week! ❄️ 🏔️

At Pulse Defibs, we go everywhere.

Sometimes that means long drives, early starts, remote locations and jobs that don’t necessarily make the most commercial sense on paper.

But that’s okay.. Because when it comes to sudden cardiac arrest, access to a working defibrillator shouldn’t depend on your postcode.

Whether it’s the big cities, regional towns, coastal communities or the mountains, we’re committed to giving businesses and communities across Australia access to rescue-ready, life-saving equipment.

Over the course of this trip, we travelled through Falls Creek, Mt Hotham, Perisher and Thredbo - installing new defibrillators and servicing existing devices to help lodges and alpine accommodation providers get ready for the busy winter season ahead, where they will welcome thousands of guests.

Defibrillators in alpine regions are especially important, as access for emergency services can be challenging during the winter months - and in some locations, throughout the year. Hospitals aren’t exactly down the road, and a defibrillator can be the difference between life and death.

In high-rise buildings, emergencies like Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) are especially time-critical. While ambulances may arrive quickly at the building, there’s often an additional delay getting to the affected person on higher floors — elevators, stairs, and access protocols can all slow down response. This is called vertical delay.

⏱️ Even a few minutes can make a huge difference: survival drops by roughly 10% for every minute without defibrillation. This means that someone on the 10th or 20th floor might be at a much higher risk due to the time it takes to reach them.
