Kirrilie Smout (Director of Developing Minds) will be hosting a seminar later this year with Karen Young, please see below for details:

The single greatest protective factor in a young person’s life isn’t a technique or a perfectly timed response. It’s relationship. And that’s something every one of us can build.

The Relationship Advantage is a night of practical, hopeful, doable strategies - how to strengthen connection, respond to big feelings with confidence, and help the young people in your life feel safe, capable and understood.

đź“… Thursday 22nd October
🕡 6:30–8pm
📍 Adelaide - Unley Oval Community Hub
🎟️ $55pp / $90 for 2 - numbers limited.

Because when a child feels truly connected to the adults around them, they don’t just cope — they grow. They try harder things. They come back from hard days. They believe they’re capable, because someone believed it first.
That’s the advantage. And it starts with us.

Tickets available now, click below to book!

Join Karen Young for an inspiring and practical evening exploring how connection shapes learning, emotional regulation, behaviour, resilience and wellbeing.

Interactive games!
Calm Kid Central has interactive games for children to play to help them manage their big feelings and life challenges. Each game helps children learn a skill - for example, how to use calm thoughts, understand frustration, use friendly conversations with others, calm their body when they are mad and much more. We are finding that kids are loving the chance to interact with these games and we are loving seeing them learn new skills! For information about CKC, go to www.calmkidcentral.com. NDIS families (Australia wide) can sometimes use their NDIS funding to access the program - otherwise you can access a month for free using code FIRSTMONTHFREE
