🌿 Store Updates – Effective July 🌿
Firstly, I am sorry this post is a little delayed.
As of 1 July, a few small changes have been implemented at Finding Grace.
These changes have been made after a great deal of thought and careful consideration. I've made the decision to implement these updates to help ensure Finding Grace can continue to grow while continuing to offer the products, services and sustainability initiatives that are so important to both me and our community.
Like many small businesses, the rising cost of operating has meant I can no longer absorb every expense behind the scenes. For the past two years, I have proudly covered the costs of our TerraCycle recycling programs so our community could recycle hard-to-recycle items free of charge. However, to keep these programs running into the future, a few small changes have become necessary.
Moving forward, a small contribution will apply to TerraCycle drop-offs:
♻️ $5 for a small collection
♻️ $10 for a large collection
This contribution helps cover the cost of recycling beauty packaging, blister packs and bottle caps through TerraCycle, including the collection boxes, postage and processing costs.
A small charge will also apply to our brown paper shopping bags. This charge is no greater than the cost of the bags themselves. Since opening almost four years ago, we have proudly provided paper bags free of charge. However, bringing your own reusable shopping bags remains the most sustainable option and is a simple way to help reduce waste.
These updates aren't about increasing profits. They're about helping cover the genuine costs of providing these services and ensuring they remain available for everyone. I truly believe these small changes will help protect these initiatives for the long term, rather than having to remove them altogether.
