ONE80TC ONE80TC | TC NSW, succeed in rescuing lives from the devastating effects of alcohol and drugs. ONE80TC is an initiative of Teen Challenge NSW.

Since 1977, Teen Challenge NSW has been helping those in the community gain access to help for life controlling issues, such as drug & alcohol addiction, gambling addiction, depression and suicidal tendencies. We run a residential based program for men and women which is all about rescuing lives, restoring hope and rebuilding families.. ONE80TC provide a holistic approach, addressing physical, emo

tional and spiritual needs. We also provide access to specialised services including general practitioners, psychiatrists and psychologists. Our staff are carefully recruited, hold accredited qualifications and continue ongoing professional development through TAFE and accredited Government bodies. Our program is voluntary and students may choose to leave the program at any time. We aim to provide a safe environment known as a therapeutic community where each person can deal with serious and debilitating issues that affect their health and well-being. ONE80TC is funded largely through the generosity of private donations, fundraising activities and corporate sponsorship.

What your support makes possible behind the scenes.

When people think about recovery, they often picture the individual taking the brave step to seek help.

What they don't always see is the community standing behind them.

The counsellors providing support through difficult moments.

The support workers helping people develop new routines and life skills.

The volunteers who generously give their time.

The donors and supporters whose contributions make recovery programs possible.

Behind every recovery journey is a team of people helping to create an environment where change can happen.

At ONE80TC, recovery is not something people do alone. It happens through community, accountability, encouragement and support.

This EOFY, we're grateful for every person who stands alongside us in helping people rebuild their lives, restore relationships and create a different future.

Together, we're making hope possible.

đź’™ Thank you for being part of the journey.

What happens when someone finally gets the right support?

We see people begin rebuilding confidence.

We see relationships start to heal.

We see parents reconnect with their children.

We see people discover strengths they never knew they had.

We see hope begin to replace hopelessness.

Recovery is rarely about one breakthrough moment. More often, it's the result of consistent support, community, accountability and the courage to keep moving forward one day at a time.

At ONE80TC, we have the privilege of witnessing lives being restored every day. Not because the journey is easy, but because change becomes possible when people are surrounded by the right support.

Every story of recovery reminds us that no one is beyond hope and that a different future is possible.

đź’™ Recovery is possible.
đź’™ Families can heal.

Family restoration is about more than bringing families back together, it's about healing relationships, rebuilding trust, and creating a safer, healthier future.

Addiction doesn't only affect the individual. It can impact partners, children, parents, siblings, and entire support networks. Over time, relationships may become strained by broken trust, conflict, absence, or emotional pain.

Recovery creates opportunities for restoration.

Through ongoing healing and support, many people are able to:
• Rebuild trust with loved ones
• Improve communication and relationships
• Develop healthier parenting skills
• Reconnect with children and family members
• Create safer and more stable home environments
• Break cycles that can impact future generations

Family restoration takes time. It requires honesty, accountability, patience, and support from everyone involved.

While every family journey looks different, recovery can provide the foundation for healing, reconnection, and hope.

At ONE80TC, we have seen firsthand the powerful impact that recovery can have on families. When one person begins to heal, the positive effects often reach far beyond the individual.

Recovery changes lives.
Restoration changes families.

and addiction are often deeply connected, but neither tells the full story of a person’s life.

For many people, homelessness can be both a cause and a consequence of addiction, trauma, mental health challenges, domestic violence, family breakdown, financial hardship, and social isolation.

Without safe and stable housing, it becomes much harder to focus on recovery, mental wellbeing, employment, relationships, or physical health.

People experiencing homelessness may face:
• Increased mental health challenges
• Higher exposure to violence and trauma
• Social isolation and stigma
• Difficulty accessing healthcare and support services
• Increased substance use as a way to cope, survive, or numb pain
• Barriers to employment, stability, and long-term recovery

According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, many Australians experiencing homelessness are also living with mental health and substance use challenges, highlighting the need for compassionate, integrated support.

Behind every statistic is a person, someone deserving of dignity, safety, connection, and hope.

Recovery is not only about stopping substance use. For many people, it also means rebuilding stability, restoring relationships, healing from trauma, and finding a safe place to belong.

At ONE80TC, we believe lasting change happens through community, support, structure, and connection.

Everyone deserves hope.
Everyone deserves support.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life.

Sometimes it's the simple things that make the biggest difference.

A warm meal. A safe place to belong. Someone who believes change is possible.

For people rebuilding their lives after addiction and other life-controlling challenges, recovery is made up of small steps taken day by day. Practical support can help provide the stability needed to focus on healing, growth and long-term change.

đź’™ A donation of $50 can help provide meals, practical support and resources for someone rebuilding their life through recovery.

Your support helps create an environment where people can focus on what matters most – restoring relationships, rebuilding confidence and creating a different future.

This EOFY, help us continue supporting people as they take those courageous steps toward lasting change.

Ice (methamphetamine) can have a serious impact on mental health, especially when used heavily or over long periods of time.

One of the most concerning effects of methamphetamine use is psychosis.

Psychosis can make it difficult for a person to tell what is real and what is not. It may involve:
• Paranoia and intense fear
• Hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren’t there)
• Delusional beliefs
• Aggression or extreme agitation
• Severe anxiety and panic
• Confusion and disorientation
• Sleep deprivation and emotional instability

For many people, these experiences can feel terrifying and isolating, both for the person experiencing them and for their loved ones.

Ice affects the brain, emotions, sleep, and nervous system. The longer and heavier the use, the greater the risks to physical and mental wellbeing.

The good news is that recovery is possible. With support, treatment, stability, and time away from substances, healing can happen and mental health can improve.

At ONE80TC, we support people impacted by addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges through community, structure, counselling, and long-term recovery support.

Behind every addiction is a person deserving of compassion, dignity, and hope.

You are not alone.
Support is available.

Most people never see this side of recovery.

Recovery isn't just about overcoming addiction. It's about rebuilding trust, reconnecting with family, learning new routines, finding purpose, and believing that change is possible.

It's found in the quiet moments. The conversations. The support of others walking alongside you. The decision to keep showing up, one day at a time.

One of our residents recently shared:

"I've come to realise that I wanna change for myself, but I've also got a partner and a daughter who are depending on me, and they're counting on me to get it right this time."

Behind every recovery journey is a person hoping for another chance. A father wanting to reconnect with his children. A partner rebuilding trust. A family hoping for a brighter future.

This is the side of recovery most people never see.

đź’™ This EOFY, we're sharing stories of hope, restoration and lives being rebuilt through community, support and recovery.

Trauma and addiction are often deeply connected.

For many people, substance use does not begin as a desire to “party” or lose control, it begins as an attempt to cope with overwhelming pain, fear, shame, grief, abuse, neglect, or emotional distress.

Trauma can impact the brain, nervous system, emotions, relationships, and sense of safety in the world. Some people may experience:
• Hypervigilance or constantly feeling “on edge”
• Anxiety or panic
• Emotional numbness
• Flashbacks or nightmares
• Difficulty trusting others
• Shame and low self-worth
• Difficulty regulating emotions
• Isolation or withdrawal

Alcohol and other substances may temporarily numb these feelings or provide a sense of escape, relief, or control. But over time, addiction often creates even more pain, disconnection, and hopelessness.

Healing from addiction often means healing from the underlying trauma as well.

Recovery is not just about stopping substance use, it’s about rebuilding safety, connection, identity, emotional regulation, and hope.

At ONE80TC, we understand that behind many addictions is a story of pain that has never been properly heard or healed. Through community, structure, support, counselling, and long-term recovery care, healing is possible.

You are not broken.
Your experiences matter.
And recovery is possible.

They say recovery isn’t meant to be walked alone, and moments like this remind us why.

Healing happens in community. In the hard conversations, the accountability, the support, the setbacks, the victories, and the people who keep showing up beside you through it all.

“We’re in the trenches together…”

At One80TC, we believe there is something powerful about walking the journey of recovery alongside others who understand, encourage, and challenge you to keep moving forward.

Recovery is possible.
Connection matters.
And no one has to do it alone. đź’š
