The Tourism Development Corporation is proud to help preserve Barbados' history while investing in its future.

Through funding of more than $20,000, the TDC supported the establishment of a dedicated research space within the Barbados Archives Department, helping to advance the study of our island's early history, with a particular focus on the period of slavery.

Today, this space supports research, the preservation and digitisation of historical records, exhibitions, and educational activities that help safeguard Barbados' documentary heritage. Improving access to these invaluable resources, it enables present and future generations to explore, understand, and appreciate the stories that have shaped our nation.

The TDC is honoured to have contributed to an initiative that helps preserve Barbados' records, heritage, and cultural legacy while strengthening one of our country's most valuable tourism assets—our authentic history.

Businesses that share our vision of investing in projects that strengthen Barbados' tourism product and create lasting impact are invited to become members of the Tourism Development Corporation. Together, we can preserve our heritage, enrich the visitor experience, and invest in the future of Barbados.
