I took two long classes on Peri-operative Care for my long course students and I always take individual feedback afterward. Honestly, the responses were overwhelming in the best way.

Teaching has always been a love. Maybe it’s in my blood since both my parents are teachers. When I got into medical school, I thought that dream would fade away. But life had a different plan and here I am... teaching again in a way I never imagined.

Many encourage me to promote my courses more widely but I still feel a bit shy. Or maybe it’s because I genuinely teach from the heart, not for the hype.

It means a lot to me, a lot. I’ve received many messages from my batchmates and seniors for guiding them Bailey & Love but I usually try to avoid it because I genuinely feel shy about it.

Today, I started my long course and one of my batchmates from my 56 joined. After the class, she texted me these words. I don’t know how life placed me in the role of a mentor but moments like these will always remain the most cherished part of my journey as a mentor.

Bailey & Love has always been a love for me since my undergrad days. I still remember carrying those heavy main books everywhere making my bag almost impossible to lift. My classmates knew how obsessed I was with them. It wasn’t just about reading...it was about understanding every line, every concept and making it simpler for my friends.

Back then, I didn’t have a mentor who could truly guide me through. Yet, those late afternoons in the SOMC library surrounded by silence, sunlight and the smell of old pages became my comfort. Those moments built a dream in me... someday, I’d create a space where main books felt easier, more human and more connected.

Out of curiosity, I started two small batches and the love, the warmth I received was beyond words. Now, I’m taking it a step further...starting my long, intensive course on one of my favorite books ever - Bailey & Love.

For those who want to dive into main books, who craves clarity and confidence in surgery.... this is for you.

Many of you already know that I’ve been mentoring medical students for years and this year, I began teaching Bailey & Love, the cornerstone of surgical knowledge. It’s been an incredible journey so far, two successful batches completed with passionate learners from all over.
