An anti-LRP4 antibody diagnosis is a type of myasthenia gravis (MG) that is especially relevant for patients who are " *double seronegative,"* meaning they lack antibodies against acetylcholine receptors (AChR) and muscle-specific kinase (MuSK).

This diagnosis is important because identifying the specific autoantibodies, like anti-LRP4, is crucial for tailoring treatment and predicting prognosis.

While its clinical significance is still being researched, anti-LRP4 antibodies are known to target the LRP4 protein, which is involved in clustering AChRs at the neuromuscular junction.

*Correlation of Migraine and stroke :*

A migraine with a stroke, known as *migrainous* *infarction* , is a rare ischemic stroke that occurs during a migraine with aura, where the aura symptoms are prolonged and a brain scan shows brain damage.

New test detects motor neurone disease before symptoms:

**How the Aptamer-Based Test Works:
*Aptamers* :**

The new test uses aptamers, which are short, synthetic DNA or RNA molecules that can bind to specific target molecules.
*Targeting TDP-43:*
In this case, the aptamer is designed to target a protein called TDP-43, which is known to clump together in the brains of people with MND.
*Early Detection* :
The aptamer can detect these clumps in brain tissue samples, even at very low levels and with greater accuracy than current methods like antibody tests.
*Pre-Symptomatic Detection:*
This allows for the detection of MND before the onset of symptoms, when cells are beginning to malfunction.

Motor neurone disease, which affects over 5,000 people in the *UK* at any given time, is characterised by progressive muscle wasting.

Current treatments only address symptoms, but *Ellorarxine* shows potential to tackle the underlying causes of the disease.

The study revealed that Ellorarxine demonstrates antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, even at very low concentrations.

It was found to increase the expression of key proteins, promote neurite growth, and improve mitochondrial health – all crucial factors in combating MND.
