I've learned that the hardest boundaries aren't always the ones we set with other people, they're the ones we make with ourselves.
Giving yourself permission to rest. To say "not today." To stop carrying responsibilities that were never yours to hold. To choose your wellbeing, even when guilt tells you otherwise.
Self-compassion isn't about giving up or doing less. It's about recognising that your needs matter too.
The way we speak to ourselves, care for ourselves, and protect our own limits shapes every other relationship in our lives.
If you're finding it difficult to put yourself first, start small. One kind decision. One honest "no." One moment of choosing yourself without apology.
Sometimes, that's where healing begins.
With care,
