Neuropathic pain is pain caused by a lesion or disease of the somatosensory nervous system. Neuropathic pain may be associated with abnormal sensations called dysesthesia or pain from normally non-painful stimuli. It may have continuous and/or episodic components. The latter resemble stabbings or electric shocks!

ফিজিওথেরাপি হলো এক ধরনের বিজ্ঞানসম্মত ও পার্শ্বপ্রতিক্রিয়াবিহীন চিকিৎসা পদ্ধতি, যেখানে শারীরিক ব্যায়াম, ম্যানুয়াল থেরাপি ও অন্যান্য পদ্ধতির মাধ্যমে শরীরের আঘাত, অসুস্থতা বা অক্ষমতা থেকে পুনরুদ্ধার করা হয়। এর লক্ষ্য হলো ব্যথা কমানো, শরীরের নড়াচড়া ও কার্যক্ষমতা পুনরুদ্ধার করা এবং জীবনযাত্রার মান উন্নত করা। একজন ফিজিওথেরাপিস্ট রোগীর অবস্থা মূল্যায়ন করে উপযুক্ত চিকিৎসা প্রদান করেন।
