If you've been feeling unusually tired, short-tempered, or emotionally drained lately... it may not be just you.

Every month, the energy in our homes changes.

Some months push us forward. Others ask us to slow down.

August is one of those months.

The Illness Star moves into the center of the Flying Star chart, making health and vitality the theme for everyone. You may feel more tired, less patient, or simply not quite yourself. When our energy is low, it's easier for stress, conflict, and misunderstandings to take over.

This month, prioritize:
✨ Quality sleep
✨ Rest and recovery
✨ Nourishing your body
✨ Managing stress
✨ Choosing peace over unnecessary conflict
✨ Booking the doctor or health appointments you've been putting off

Keep this area calm and quiet. Avoid renovations, excessive noise, or anything that creates unnecessary disruption.

Luckiest sectors this month

🌿 Southeast: Excellent for prosperity, finishing projects, and seeing your hard work pay off.

🌿 East: Supports wealth, relationships, networking, and meaningful conversations.

Be a little more mindful of:

• Northwest: More argumentative energy; choose your words carefully.

• Northeast & Center: Higher potential for misunderstandings. Keep these areas peaceful.

• North: More accident, injury, and financial loss energy. Slow down and avoid unnecessary risks.

These are the general monthly energies. Your home's permanent Flying Star chart tells a much deeper story.

If you'd like to know how August's energies interact with your home and which elemental adjustments will best support your health, relationships, and goals, send me a DM. I'd love to help.

1. Place the head of the bed against a solid wall.

A solid wall behind the head of the bed gives the brain a sense of support and security while your child sleeps.

2. Declutter the bedroom.
I know this isn't always easy with kids, but their bedroom should be a place for rest and rejuvenation. Donate toys, books, and clothes they no longer use. Another child will be incredibly grateful.

3. Choose calming colors and decor.
Bedrooms are for restoration. Bright colors, busy patterns, and chaotic themes can overstimulate a child's nervous system and make it harder to wind down.

4. Display a current family photo.
Place a recent photo of Mom, Dad, and your child where they can see it while lying in bed. It serves as a quiet reminder that they are loved, supported, and safe.

5. Keep the space under the bed as clear as possible.
Ideally, nothing should be stored under the bed so energy can circulate freely during sleep. If storage is unavoidable, limit it to soft items such as extra linens or out-of-season clothing. Avoid toys, books, shoes, or anything that feels active or stimulating.

6. Create a dedicated study area.
Position your child's desk so they can see the door while they're working. This is known as the Command Position in Classical Feng Shui and helps create a greater sense of ease, focus, and confidence. Avoid placing the desk where they must sit with their back to the door.

If you want a more detailed and precise location, I like to employ the Eight Mansions Feng Shui Method. Each person, based on their date of birth, has four auspicious directions and four inauspicious directions that they can face when they are studying, sleeping, and working. DM to learn more.

A child's room is more than a place to sleep.

It's the environment their nervous system experiences every single day.

When you create a space that feels calm, supportive, and organized, you're giving them an environment that helps them rest well, focus better, and start each school day feeling more grounded.

Which of these tips will you be trying before school starts?

Have you stopped enjoying wanting things?

Think about it.

When you were little, wanting something felt exciting.

You could spend weeks imagining Christmas morning.

You could dream about the bike, the party, the trip, and the life you were going to have when you grew up.

And the wanting itself felt good.

It created anticipation.
Excitement.
Imagination.
Possibility.

You could feel some of the joy of having it before you ever had it.

But somewhere along the way, wanting started to feel different.

As an adult, you think:

I want to make more money.
I want to love my work again.
I want a beautiful home.
I want more freedom.
I want to feel excited about my life again.

And almost immediately, your brain responds:

But I don’t have that.

How am I going to make it happen?

What if I can’t?

I should be further along by now.

Or even worse: I can’t have that.

And just like that, desire becomes evidence that something is missing.

Instead of allowing ourselves to feel the excitement, freedom, possibility, or pleasure of what we want, we focus on not having it yet.

No wonder we stop dreaming.

But here’s what I think we forget:

So much of what we want, we want because of how we believe it will make us feel.

We want the money because of how we think we’ll feel when we have it.

We want the beautiful home because of how we imagine we’ll feel living in it.

We want the freedom because of who we imagine we’ll get to be when we have it.

The feeling is everything.

And you don’t have to wait until the thing arrives to begin experiencing it.

The next time you notice yourself wanting something, don’t immediately ask:

How am I going to make this happen?

Ask:

What do I imagine having this would allow me to feel?

And then let yourself feel that now.

Imagine it before you strategize it.

Enjoy feeling it before you figure it out.

Let the wanting feel good again.

Because creating a life you love is learning how to enjoy the desire for it while you’re creating it.

What do you want that you haven’t been allowing yourself to feel excited about?

You don't need a bigger house to feel better.

You need a home that helps your nervous system exhale.

After years of studying Classical Feng Shui and coaching women through overwhelm, I've noticed the same patterns over and over.

Here are 8 signs your home may be quietly draining your energy.

1. You walk in and immediately see everything that needs to be done.
Your brain never gets the message that it's safe to rest.

2. Your bedroom reminds you of work.
Laundry, paperwork, exercise equipment... your body never fully switches into recovery mode.

3. Every flat surface has become a storage space.
Your eyes keep processing unfinished decisions, even when you're trying to relax.

4. You avoid certain rooms.
There's usually a reason. Your environment affects your emotions more than you realize.

5. Your home feels beautiful... but somehow still doesn't feel good.
Sometimes it's not your decorating. It's the energy and layout of the space.

6. You keep buying organizers but still feel overwhelmed.
Organization doesn't solve an environment that's working against you.

7. You tell yourself you'll deal with it 'when life slows down.'
Your home can either support your healing, or make overwhelm feel normal.

8. You think you're the problem.
Often, you're trying to thrive in a space that isn't supporting the life you're trying to create.

Your home is constantly shaping how you think, feel, and behave.

When you change your environment intentionally, it becomes easier to feel calmer, think more clearly, and move toward the life you actually want.

✨ If this resonated, comment HOME and I'll send you my favorite place to start.

The hidden reason you can't relax even when your house is clean.

You already know your thoughts affect how you feel.

But here's what many women don't realize:

Your environment is shaping how you feel, too.

How you think and how you feel create your state of being.

But the things you surround yourself with reinforce that state every single day.

Your home.
The music you listen to.
The conversations you have.
The content you consume.
The people you spend time with.

None of it is neutral.

Every one of these inputs is sending messages to your subconscious mind, whether you're paying attention or not.

If your home feels chaotic...
If you're constantly consuming stressful news...
If every conversation revolves around problems...

Your nervous system never gets the message that it's safe to soften.

This is why mindset work alone isn't always enough.

Your environment is either supporting your peace or reinforcing your overwhelm.

As a Classical Feng Shui practitioner and coach, I help women create alignment both internally and externally, because lasting change happens when your mind and your environment work together instead of against each other.

✨ Take a look around your home today.

Ask yourself:
What is this space teaching my nervous system to believe?

If you're ready to create a home that supports your peace instead of your stress, send me the word HOME in a DM. I'll tell you where I'd start.

Friday Feng Shui Edition: How Your Home Reflects Burnout Back to You

Have you ever noticed that when you're burned out, your home seems to mirror exactly how you feel?

Not because you've done anything wrong.

But because your outer environment often reflects what's happening inside.

When you're overwhelmed, you tend to leave things where they land because there's no energy left to put them away.

The kitchen counter becomes a holding place.
The dining table becomes a workspace.
The bedroom becomes another place to scroll, think, and worry instead of rest.

Then every time you walk through your home, those visual reminders quietly tell your nervous system:

"There's still more to do."

From a Classical Feng Shui perspective, your home is constantly influencing how you feel.

When energy can't circulate well because spaces have become overloaded or aren't supporting their intended purpose, you often feel it before you consciously notice it.

It's important to say this isn't about having a Pinterest-perfect house.

It's about creating a home that helps regulate your nervous system instead of keeping it on high alert.

Sometimes the smallest changes create the biggest shift.

Clearing one surface.

Making your bedroom feel like a sanctuary again.

Allowing your dining table to become a place for connection instead of unfinished tasks.

Because your home shouldn't keep reflecting your burnout back to you.

It should help you recover from it.

That's why I combine Classical Feng Shui with coaching—to help you create a home that supports your well-being and a life that feels calmer, lighter, and more aligned.

I'd love to hear from you: Which room in your home feels the most draining right now? Let me know in the comments, or send me a DM if you're ready to discover what's really happening in your space.

02/07/2026

What if doing more isn’t actually the answer you’ve been looking for?

I want to ask you that because I know how automatic “doing” can feel for you.

When life feels full, or uncertain, or emotionally heavy, you move into action.
You organize. You manage. You push through.

And on the surface, it works.

It makes you feel productive. capable. In control.

But underneath that, I wonder if something else is happening.

If doing more has quietly become your way of not feeling what’s actually there.

The discomfort of not feeling enough.
The pressure of needing to hold everything together.
The fear that if you stop, even for a moment, something might fall apart.

So you keep going.

But I want you to notice something gently:

Doing more doesn’t actually create the safety you’re looking for.

It just delays the moment you have to come back to yourself.

And over time, that constant doing turns into overfunctioning.
And overfunctioning slowly pulls you out of your body.

Out of your breath.
Out of your signals.
Out of your ability to actually feel what you need.

Rest is often presented as a reward.

But for you, it’s not a reward problem.

It’s a regulation problem.

Because real rest isn’t scrolling.
It isn’t zoning out.
It isn’t numbing yourself just to get through the moment.

Those are understandable coping strategies, but they still keep you slightly disconnected from yourself.

Real rest looks different.

✨ You are back in your body, not escaping it
✨ Your breath slows without effort
✨ You can stop without guilt rushing in
✨ You don’t need to earn your pause
✨ You feel, even if just briefly, that you are safe as you are

And I know that might feel unfamiliar.

Even a little uncomfortable.

But that doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

It just means your system is used to surviving through doing.

This is something I work with women on all the time.
Women who are ready to step out of constant overfunctioning and into a way of living that feels steadier, calmer, and more connected to themselves.

If this is speaking to you, message me.

Using AI to Feng Shui your home can be expensive.

Not because AI charges a fee.

Because inaccurate Feng Shui advice can cost you time, money, opportunities, and peace of mind.

Every week I see AI-generated Feng Shui recommendations that sound convincing but are completely wrong.

The problem is that AI doesn’t understand Feng Shui.

It understands patterns in language.

Classical Flying Star Feng Shui requires calculations, interpretation, and context.
It depends on precise compass measurements, floor plan, surrounding environment, and changing annual influences.

Miss one variable and the recommendation can be wrong.

I’ve seen AI place water where it should never go. I’ve seen it activate sectors that should be left alone. I’ve seen it confuse different schools of Feng Shui as if they were the same thing.

They are not.

The real danger isn’t that AI gets it wrong.

It’s that AI gets it wrong with confidence.

A well-written answer is not the same as an accurate one.

AI is a tool.

It is not a Feng Shui practitioner.

Ever notice how quickly we make things mean something about us when life doesn't go according to plan?

You tell yourself you'll start prioritizing your health, but another week goes by and everyone else comes first.

You carve out time for yourself, only to have a sick child, an aging parent, or a family crisis take over.

You promise to be more patient, more organized, more present... and then life happens.

And before you know it, you're thinking:
"I'm never going to get this together."
"Why can't I be more disciplined?"
"What's wrong with me?"

But what if nothing is wrong with you?

What if the result is simply information?

✨ Many of us were taught to judge ourselves before we ever learned to understand ourselves. So when things don't go as planned, we make it personal. We don't consider the circumstances, the season we're in, or what actually happened. We just assume we're the problem.

✨ Instead of "What's wrong with me?" try asking:
What's making this difficult right now?
What support do I need?
What expectations am I placing on myself?

🧠 Curiosity activates the prefrontal cortex, the part of your brain built for problem-solving. When you get curious instead of critical, you're asking: What could I do differently going forward?

✨ Information creates awareness. Judgment creates shame.
That's not failure. That's valuable information.

🌟 The greatest gift you can give yourself in midlife is the willingness to stop making yourself wrong. Replace criticism with curiosity.

💫 You are not your unfinished to-do list.
You are not your missed workout.
You are not the goal you haven't reached yet.

Get curious. The information you're gathering today may be exactly what helps you move forward tomorrow.

👇 Drop "curious" in the comments or message me and I'll send you details on working together.

Honestly, this list could go on forever.

Your home is not just a space you live in. It is a map of your life.
Every corner, every room, every area holds energy connected to you, your relationships and your body.

When something feels off in your home, something feels off in your life.

What area needs the most attention right now?
