Dear Lobas,

We hope this Autumn season is bringing you warmth and inspiration. We sure are basking in the natural beauty of our countryside life. on the wild island of Pantelleria in the Mediterranean, and .irene by the cliffs of Valmitão beach, gazing over the Atlantic Ocean in Portugal.

I began to have a fantasy of living at a time when there was not a thought in the collective that women were in any way lesser than men; a time when the processes of the female body were revered and respected. As I dreamed into this other reality, I realized that my whole body would be affected, and that not a cell in my being would have been formed out of ideas of female inferiority. This was a radical thought. Imagine not having a trace, a smidgen, hiding anywhere in your cells or your thoughts, that would ever imply that there was anything to be ashamed of about being female. That’s what I want, I thought. I want to live like that. I want to really honor and discover the richness of my femininity, and I want to glory in it, revel in it. I want to dance with the mystery of my wondrous alchemical womb.

This quote is by Lara Owen, from her incredible book “Her Blood is Gold: Awakening to the Wisdom of Menstruation”, which I truly recommend to any person interested in exploring the womb space, simultaneously from physiological, sociological, historical and spiritual perspectives.

🌹the 13th of October is our next online Women’s Circle ⭕️
The theme we will be exploring is our SACRED BLOOD: sharing rituals, movement and meditation around our menstrual blood.

Our menstrual blood is not “dirty” and it is not “the wombs waste”, it is a miraculous internal process of life and death, and every month we have the opportunity to work with this energy to transform our lives, birth our projects and nurture first and foremost ourselves.

This mystery has been shadowed for centuries and as we come back to our cyclical nature we come closer to the ways of the earth. We are as sacred as the body of the earth and our waters run filled with ancestral myths and magic tales.

There is an ancient Hopi prophecy that states, “When women will give their blood back to the earth, men will come home from war and earth shall find peace.”

This year we closed Rewilding Retreats with a love shower and these are some of the love words we received that healed our be-IN.

🧘🏽‍♀️Vedism is the most ancieint civilization of India from which yoga was born over 5000 years ago. The word yoga can have many translations and one of them is union. One with existence/ Union as mindy body and soul merge. The word Yoga itself derives from ‘Yuja’ - union and ‘Yugir’ - self realization. So choosing the path of a yogi means choosing the path of self realization. Not only knowledge of ANANDA or BLISS, our purest essence, but our experience of it.

🕉Vedism gives us many tools on how to attain YOGA. One of them is the ‘ASANAS’ or postures. Originally the Yoga asanas were designed to prepare the body for ‘DHYANA’ or meditation. Practitioners would practice a number of poses, keeping their bodies limber, allowing them to sit for long periods of time in meditation.

In the next YOGA post we will explore ‘The 8 limbs of yoga’ of which the ASANA is the third!
