What are your deepest beliefs about your body? 🌿
Beliefs are simply thoughts we've repeated for so long that they begin to feel like facts.
They become our programming.
I was born with a choledochal cyst and lived with digestive challenges for most of my life. Somewhere along the way, I formed a belief: "This is just how my body is."
Then came cancer.
Then a Whipple surgery that changed my anatomy forever.
My body will never be exactly as it was before.
That is true.
But another question emerged:
What do I choose to believe about my body now?
Do I continue telling myself that my body is damaged, defective, or broken?
Or do I choose to see it differently?
Can I accept my body exactly as it is, while also believing it is resilient, adaptable, and capable of supporting me in ways I may not yet fully understand?
Changing our beliefs is not about denying reality.
It is about becoming aware of the stories we repeatedly tell ourselves.
Today, I consciously choose thoughts that are loving, kind, compassionate, and empowering toward my body.
When I notice thoughts that are rooted in fear, criticism, or limitation, I don't judge them—I simply become aware of them and gently choose again.
Because every belief shapes how we relate to ourselves.
And while I cannot change what has happened to my body, I can choose how I speak to it, how I care for it, and what I believe is possible from this moment forward.
Our bodies are always listening.
So today, I leave you with one question:
What is one belief about your body that no longer serves you? And what new belief would you like to choose instead? 💚
