I use warm sesame oil for this, and sometimes I also oil my whole body, not just the joints.
What I love about this practice is how it invites me to slow down and meet my body with a little more care and softness before movement.
I started doing this more consistently during perimenopause, but this kind of support isn’t only for women in this phase. Menopause, postmenopause… or honestly anyone experiencing stiffness, dryness, or feeling disconnected from their body can benefit from it.
