In mortuary school we were taught to be conservative provide the service then get out of the way.

Do the white morticians do things like this and what is the origin or purpose of stepping and crowning by black funerals.

RE: Handy dandy back-up embalming pump

When ever I travel to embalm, I refuse to transport my $4K embalming pump. I do not trust the porters..
What will I do? Imma glad you asked. Just use gravity to propel my handy dandy self made, did I say the only one in The Bahamas, embalming pump.

Geeez.. Since you must know..

Warning you better know what you are doing when you embalm using gravity feed...

When it comes to embalming I can do what ever I want!!

One day in Junior high school I watched CPL 42 Sands pull over 5 cars, the occupants were late for work, he did not care he booked the drivers. Wow I said that is what I wanted to do.

After graduation and a quick stint at C.O.B. I joined the police Force. I was a menance who pulled over every and any one then escalated the situation so I can arrest them for failing to give their name and address. I ran the streets with an iron fist.. This is where the light turned on about me being a mortician….

What did they do? I am glad you asked..They shipped my black arrogant ass off to the Police Band.. When I told my friend I wanted to go to mortuary school they laughed.

When I told Ted Sweeting I wanted to sit dead people up just like he did, he too laughed

In American, Canada, and Europe you go to mortuary school and there you practice to get your craft right after a year or two apprenticeship you receive a state recognised, not country, license.

In The Bahamas just put on a black suit go to the morgue tell families you are a mortician and charge less than the qualified morticians. After a few mess ups you will get it.

The government do not give a s**t so go for it...

People love going into funeral homes talking about how a deceased looks.

They do not understand we, at times, get the body several weeks or months after death.

Then we do our do, in-spite of…

I have witnessed hundreds maybe thousands of people on their death beds I have seen this multiple times…

Families do not understand this process.
