This year's commemoration is held under the theme "𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐈𝐧 𝐌𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧"

SCOTTISH LIVINGSTONE HOSPITAL COMMEMORATES INTERNATIONAL ALBINISM AWARENESS DAY

Scottish Livingstone Hospital held a presentation to raise awareness on albinism this morning,12th June 2026. The presentation targeted health care workers and also in attendance were the albinism clients.

While the annual commemoration will be celebrated on the 13th June 2026,Scottish Livingstone Hospital celebrated the day this morning with a presentation by the hospital Dermatologist, Dr. Boineelo Baodirile to highlight the theme, "Proudly In my Skin:Celebrating All Skin Tones" which recognise the full humanity,rights,and lived experiences of persons with albinism.

In her presentation,Dr.Boineelo Baodirile encouraged individuals to embrace the albinism persons identity and dignity.
