30 years ago this month, theater was forever changed when Jonathan Larson's landmark musical Rent opened on Broadway. Sadly, by opening night, he had already lost his life to undiagnosed Marfan syndrome and related aortic dissection just months prior at age 35.

It's time now.

30 years later, far too many people are living with Marfan syndrome and don't even know they have it. They also don't know they have a 250x greater risk of aortic dissection than the general population. With diagnosis and medical monitoring, many people living with Marfan can enjoy extended longevity and enhanced quality of life.

While not everyone will have every sign, and some people may have few visible signs, knowing the most common signs of Marfan syndrome is an important way to save lives.
