Squid Cleaning at Providential Living! 🦑

What an afternoon of cleaning squid, sharing stories, and lots and lots of laughter! 😂❤️

I even learned an old-time trick from our seniors today! 🥔 They showed me how a raw potato will float in the brine when there’s enough salt in the water. You’re never too old to learn something new! ❤️ A big thank-you to our employee Joyce,who got the squid for us so our seniors could enjoy this wonderful activity! ❤️
Our squids are all cleaned and ready for drying… now we just need one thing—SUNSHINE! ☀️🦑

🍁 What a beautiful afternoon with our seniors!

Our seniors had so much fun creating these beautiful fall centrepieces for our tables. ❤️ It was wonderful seeing everyone’s creativity and smiles as they worked together!
We even had a daughter visiting her mom all the way from Alberta who joined in on the fun! ❤️ What a special memory to make together.
A BIG thank you to Juanita Hurley for volunteering her break, plus an extra hour from her job, to spend time helping our seniors create these beautiful pieces. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to all of us! 🧡

The beautiful music, singing, prayers, and fellowship brought so many smiles to our seniors’ faces. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people who take the time to come and share their love and music with us. ❤️

🌸August Activities at Providential Living:

August was another busy and wonderful month at Providential Living Baie Verte! Our seniors enjoyed lots of fun, fellowship, entertainment, and special activities throughout the month. ❤️

We continued our regular exercise program and games, along with some of our seniors’ favourites:
* Bingo — definitely their favourite! 😄
* Knitting & crocheting
* Colouring
* Puzzles
* Games and social activities

❤️Special August Activities
We had a wonderful month filled with special events and outings, including:

*Our Mummer Parade
*Cold Plate Fundraiser
*Two Caplin Roasts
*Hairdresser visits
*Foot Care Nurses
*Trip to the Queen Theatre in Grand Falls-Windsor and got to visit a special couple,Fred and Maisie)
*Trips to Mary Brown’s
*We adopted two geese 😂(donated by Eddie) still waiting on their names 😂
*Providential Pros (employee of the month)
*Lots of local entertainment
