A little Sunday thought…

What are you hoping to DO when you finally feel better?

Go on that trip? Have the energy to say yes to plans? Feel comfortable in your body? Enjoy a day without constantly thinking about how you’re feeling, how much you’re moving or what you’re eating?

I think sometimes we get so caught up in trying to feel better that we forget what we wanted to feel better FOR.

We research the symptoms, tweak the food, adjust the workouts, order the supplements, and keep looking for the thing that’s going to make everything click.

And somewhere along the way, taking care of our health can start taking over our lives.

I know because I’ve been there, too.

Of course, I want you to feel better. I want that for myself, too! And there are times when our health genuinely needs more attention, answers, and support.

But I also want us to remember that we don’t have to wait until everything feels perfect to enjoy the life we’re working so hard to be healthy for.

Maybe that’s taking a walk just because it’s beautiful outside. Enjoying a meal without analyzing it. Making plans even if you’re not feeling 100%. Or spending an afternoon doing something simply because you love it.

Your health is supposed to support your life. Not become your whole life.

So here’s my Sunday question: What’s something you want more room for in your life, besides working on your health? 💗

Ever wonder why you can be so disciplined in every other area of your life, but struggle to stay consistent with the things you’re doing for your health?

I hear this frustration from women all the time.

They know what they’re supposed to do. They have the information. They’ve probably tried more plans than they care to admit.

And when they can’t keep up, they assume the problem is them.

But here’s something I’d want you to consider:

What if you don’t have a discipline problem?

What if there’s something else getting in the way?

Maybe you’re exhausted. Maybe your expectations aren’t realistic for this season of life. Maybe you’ve turned healthy habits into another set of rules you’re afraid of breaking.

That’s why, as a health and life coach, I’m much more interested in understanding WHY something isn’t working for you than handing you another plan to follow.

Because the goal isn’t to become someone who can perfectly follow a health plan.

The goal is to create a way of taking care of yourself that actually works with your life.

And sometimes that starts with asking a different question.

💗 Save this for the next time you catch yourself thinking you just need to try harder.

If you came to me and said, “I’m eating healthy, I’m exercising, I’m doing all the things. Why don’t I feel better?”

One of the first things I’d want to know is this:

How much of your day are you spending thinking about your health?

Researching symptoms, worrying about what you’re eating, wondering if you’re exercising enough, trying to figure out what you’re missing or what’s “wrong with me”…

Sometimes taking care of our health becomes another thing that’s exhausting us.

And I want to help you spend less time managing your health and more time actually living your life.

I’ve got a great guide for you coming soon so stay tuned!!

So many women in midlife are doing everything they know to do to feel healthier, yet they’re still exhausted, overwhelmed or just not feeling like themselves.

And when that happens, it’s easy to assume there’s something else we need to fix.

But what if we looked beyond the food, workouts and supplements for a moment?

What else is happening in your life? What are you carrying? What are you feeling? What do you need?

I’m not suggesting we ignore symptoms or stop taking care of our physical health.

I’m suggesting we look at the whole picture.

Because you can’t separate a woman’s health from the life she’s living. 💗

Save this for the next time you find yourself wondering what else you need to do.

💕And stick around because I have a guide to help you pause, get clear and choose what to do next. Stay tuned!💕

One workout you didn’t do. One night you didn’t sleep well. One meal that wasn’t particularly “healthy.” One day when you were tired, unmotivated or just didn’t feel like yourself.

And suddenly your brain has turned it into a whole story:

I’m getting off track. I need to get it together. Why am I so tired? I need to start eating better again. Something must be wrong.

This is something I notice a LOT in women who care deeply about their health. We don’t just experience what happened. We make it mean something about how we’re doing.

And then one choice, symptom or off day becomes another problem to analyze, research or fix.

What if it didn’t have to?

Sometimes a tired day is just a tired day. Sometimes you miss the workout. Sometimes you eat the dessert. Sometimes your body feels different from one day to the next.

None of it requires an emergency meeting with yourself!!

✨Taking care of your health matters. But so does being able to live your life without constantly grading yourself on how well you’re doing it.✨

So here’s something to try today: notice what happened without immediately deciding what it means about you.

Do you catch yourself turning one little thing into a whole story? Tell me below.

Most women don’t come to me because they don’t know anything about health.

Quite the opposite.

They’ve read the books. Followed the experts. Tried the diets. Bought the supplements. Saved the workouts.

They usually have a pretty good idea of what they “should” be doing.

So when they don’t feel better, the natural conclusion is:

I must need to DO more.

Eat cleaner. Exercise more consistently. Get more protein. Fix my sleep. Lower my cortisol. Take the right supplements. Be better about managing stress.

But if you were sitting across from me, I’m not sure my first question would be:

What else can we add?

I might ask:

What could we take away?

👉The workout you’re forcing yourself to do because you think you “should.”
👉The food rule that’s making eating more stressful than it needs to be.
👉The expectation that you should be able to handle everything without asking for help.
👉The habit of Googling every symptom your body gives you.
👉The guilt you feel anytime you’re resting instead of being productive.

Because sometimes feeling better isn’t about finding the next thing to DO.

Sometimes it’s about figuring out what you no longer need to carry.

If you’ve been wondering what else you need to do to finally feel better, try asking yourself a different question today:

What could I give myself permission to stop doing?

Tell me yours below. 💗

10/05/2026

💕We pay a LOT of attention to the things we’ve been taught matter for our health.

💕What are you eating?
💕Are you getting enough protein?
💕Are you exercising enough?
💕How many steps did you get?
💕Why aren’t you losing weight?

But if you’re doing all the “right” things and still feel tired, anxious, overwhelmed or just not like yourself, I want you to pay attention to something else too:

👉How much pressure are you putting on yourself every day?

💕How often are you rushing?
💕How many things feel urgent that really aren’t?
💕How often does “taking care of yourself” sound like I should… I need to… I have to…?
💕And when you finally have a chance to rest, can you actually relax without thinking about what you should be doing instead?

Because we can eat healthy, exercise, lift weights and take the supplements—and still spend our days putting enormous pressure on ourselves.

And that kind of chronic stress matters to our health too.

I’m not suggesting we stop caring about food, movement, sleep or any of the other things that support our health.

I’m suggesting we widen the lens.

Your health isn’t happening separately from the way you’re living your life.

So if you’ve been wondering why you’re doing everything “right” and still don’t feel like yourself, maybe the next question isn’t:

What else do I need to do?

Maybe it’s:

Where could I take a little pressure OFF? 💗

What would that look like for you today? Tell me below. 💗

Before you start mentally running through everything you need to do this week, I want you to notice something.Does every...

Before you start mentally running through everything you need to do this week, I want you to notice something.

Does everything feel a little…urgent?

💕The text you need to answer.
💕The workout you should fit in.
💕The groceries.
💕The appointment you need to make.
💕The thing your kid needs.
💕The email you forgot about.
💕The fact that you haven’t been eating as well as you’d like.

None of these things may actually be an emergency.

But when your brain treats everything like one, your body responds accordingly.

You stay tense. You rush. You have a hard time sitting still without thinking about what you should be doing. And even the things you’re doing for your health can start to feel like more pressure.

So maybe the goal this Sunday isn’t to get ahead on everything.

Maybe it’s to ask:

🩷🩷What actually needs my attention right now — and what can wait?🩷🩷

Your health isn’t separate from the way you’re living your life.

And sometimes feeling better starts there. 💗

Lately I keep seeing the same words when people talk about midlife:

Reinvent yourself.
Rediscover yourself.

As my next birthday approaches, I’m realizing that we don’t need to find some version of ourselves that’s been lost.

Too. Much. Pressure.

Instead, we get to CHOOSE who we want to be now.

Here are 5 things I’m learning in my 50s:

1. Knowing what I want takes practice.
I spent a lot of years knowing what everyone else needed. Turns out, “What do I want?” can be a surprisingly hard question to answer.

2. My roles can be important without being ALL of me.
Mom. Wife. Coach. Friend. Caretaker. I love those parts of me—and there is more.

3. I’m allowed to change my mind.
About what healthy looks like. What success looks like. What matters. What I want more of—and less of.

4. Fun gets more attention.
More traveling. More laughing. More good books. More ridiculousness. More moments that make me think, “HERE I AM!” 💗

5. I don’t have to have the next version of me figured out.
Maybe I just keep asking: What do I want more of? What am I ready to let go of? What do I want to choose next?

Maybe this season isn’t about getting the old me back—or creating some shiny new version of myself.

Maybe it’s realizing I still get a say in who I become and how I want to live.

What are YOU choosing more of in this season of your life?

Send this to a woman you want to have a few more “HERE I AM!” moments with. 💗

👉This is becoming one of the things I believe most strongly about health.

Women often come to me wanting to talk about…
🩷What they’re eating.
🩷How much they’re exercising.
🩷Whether they need to be doing something differently with their sleep, hormones, supplements or other health habits.

And yes—I want to talk about those things.

Food matters. Movement matters. Sleep matters. Hormones matter. Medical care matters.

But I also want to know about your life.

🩷What’s taking the most out of you right now?
🩷Where are you constantly pushing through?
🩷What are you carrying that no one else sees?
🩷How much pressure are you putting on yourself?
🩷What’s changing in your relationships, roles or identity?
🩷When do you actually feel like YOU?

Because you don’t experience your health in a vacuum.

You experience it inside a whole LIFE.

A life with stress and emotions. Relationships and responsibilities. Expectations. Experiences. Years of taking care of other people. Things you’ve been through. Things you’re still carrying.

And especially in midlife, when so much can be changing at once, I don’t think we can have a meaningful conversation about how a woman feels without being curious about the life she’s living, too.

That doesn’t mean every symptom is caused by stress or emotions.

It means we widen the lens.

We take care of the body AND pay attention to the woman living in it.

That’s what I mean when I say it’s time to bring health + life back together.

And it’s the kind of health conversation I want to be known for. 💗
