Because when you are in the dental chair, we are already looking at so many clues:

Are the lips resting together?
Is the mouth open at rest?
Is there crowding?
Is the palate narrow?
Is there a tongue thrust?
Is there evisence of grinding?
Are the tonsils enlarged?
Is there a history of snoring, mouth breathing, or restless sleep?

These things are not random.

They can tell us a lot about how you are breathing, sleeping, swallowing, and how a child is growing.

If you’re a parent, start asking about airway health at your child’s dental visits.

If you’re a dental provider, this is your gentle nudge to start the conversation. 💛

We’re building something for providers. 👀And if you’re a dentist, orthodontist, dental hygienist, myofunctional therapist, SLP, OT, bodyworker, or airway-focused provider…this is for you.

If you’ve ever wished you had clearer tools, better templates, more support, or a community of providers who understand airway, oral function, breathing, posture, and early development… this is for you.

Comment PROVIDER and we’ll send you the link to join our provider community list. 💛

Braces absolutely have an important role.

They can create beautiful, healthy smiles.

But here's the question we don't ask often enough...

Why did the teeth become crowded in the first place?

Crowded teeth aren't always just a genetics problem.

The amount of space available for teeth is influenced by how the jaws develop as a child grows. And jaw development can be affected by factors like:

👃 How they breathe
👅 Where their tongue rests
🥕 How they chew and swallow
😴 Their sleep and airway health

If those foundations aren't developing optimally, there may simply not be enough room for all of the permanent teeth.

This isn't an either/or conversation.

It's not braces OR function.

It's healthy function first, then straight teeth—working together to support a smile that's not only beautiful, but also has the best opportunity to support healthy breathing, quality sleep, and long-term stability.

Because the goal isn't just straight teeth.

💛 It's helping children grow into healthy adults who can breathe, sleep, and function at their best.

Were you ever told your child's crowded teeth were "just genetics"?

People think we just look at teeth.

But we actually spend a lot of time looking at how you function!

Breathing.
Swallowing.
Tongue posture.
Chewing.
Sleep.

Those tiny clues tell a much bigger story.
