This is an older video, but it's still offering some timely advice! I am reminding myself that it's best to take the time to build my gardens properly, rather than focus on the plants themselves this year.

Sunday morning update. Dorothy has hatched 4 healthy chicks! Sadly, one died inside the egg while trying to hatch, and the other 3 eggs were probably duds so I removed them from her brooding pen, allowing her to focus soley on mothering her newbies! 3 of her chicks are yellow!! The youngest was still in an egg when I checked her yesterday so it's a little wobbly this morning, but it's appearing to be determined to keep up with it's nest mates, and she is a very doting Mama.
