The body is very good at keeping you moving, even when something isn’t working as well as it should. It will adjust movement, shift load, and rely on other areas to compensate so you can keep up with daily life.

Those adaptations often work for a while, which is why pain doesn’t always show up right away. Discomfort is often the final signal, not the first sign, that something has been under extra strain for some time.

This perspective helps explain why pain can feel sudden, even when the underlying issue has been building quietly in the background.

Most cycling knee pain isn't a knee problem.

If your knee starts talking after the first long ride of the season, the cause is almost always one of two things: the bike fit is off, or you stacked too much mileage too fast. The knee is where the symptoms show up.

The location of the pain is your first clue:

- Front of the knee: usually quad load, saddle too low, or pushing big gears too early
- Outside of the knee: usually IT band, saddle too high, or a big jump in volume
- Inside of the knee: usually cleat alignment or tracking
- Back of the knee: usually saddle too high until proven otherwise

The fix is rarely rest. It's bike fit, gradual loading, and strength work off the bike.

We broke down all four locations + what to do about each one on the blog. Link below.

Golfer’s elbow gets its name from the sport but it affects a lot more people than you might think!

Anyone who repeatedly grips, lifts, or twists their forearm can develop it over time. The pain sits on the inside of the elbow and can travel down the forearm, making everyday tasks uncomfortable.

The good news is it responds well to treatment when addressed early! If your elbow has been bothering you, send us a message and our team is happy to help.

Cupping therapy is a technique that uses suction cups placed on the skin to create a gentle pulling sensation. Unlike traditional massage that presses into the muscles, cupping lifts the tissue upward, which can help increase circulation and encourage muscle relaxation.

Many people choose cupping to help with stubborn tension, muscle soreness, and overall recovery. It can also support mobility and make tight areas feel easier to move and loosen up.

One of the most common questions people have about acupuncture is whether it hurts.
Most people are surprised by how gentle it feels, often noticing mild pressure, warmth, or a brief tingling sensation. The needles used are very fine and placed with care. Everyone’s experience can be a little different, but acupuncture is generally well tolerated and commonly used as part of a broader care approach.

Not sure if acupuncture is a good fit for you? Let’s talk it through.

If you have been dealing with nagging pain, tightness, or restricted movement that just will not go away, Active Release Technique (ART) might be worth looking into.

ART is a hands-on treatment that targets the specific muscles, tendons, and nerves contributing to your symptoms. A practitioner applies precise pressure to the affected tissue while guiding you through movement, working to restore function and reduce discomfort. It is commonly used for sports injuries, repetitive strain, and chronic tension that has built up over time.

If you have questions about whether ART is right for you, our team is here to help.
