Good morning !! We will soon have our grant funding in place ( Thank you Rural Mental Health Network!!) and so we are looking ahead for instructors for some of the following suggestions from community members...due to the increased interest in this funding across Alberta our grant max had been lowered to offer the funding to more communities/ animators/backbone agencies...they will be some costs to the participants for some of these activities.
1-Tia Chi
2-yoga with parents & their little ones
3-chair yoga
4- Zumba
We do have someone for dance- Latin and a country line dance

Anyone interested in these ideas please contact me and tell what you are truly interested in

What an amazing year thanks to grant funding from the Rural Mental Health Network . Our action group listens to local people’s concerns and ideas: wrapped up the seniors lodge/ middle school youth pen pal project, Special youth group days, meals and chats in manor one, mums with little ones and older women get togethers, Family/ community members bus trips to a Sylvan Lake Gulls game and a Red Deer Rebels Game, community social crafting, and wrapped with a supper and speaker (Brett Gardiner)that was very well attended and received. Community continues to learn the importance of understanding, mental health and wellness. We continue to educate about the importance of being social and involve more people in local get-togethers and opportunities. We look forward to further growth and understanding and participation for 2026.😃
