being an acupuncturist doesn’t mean i suddenly became the healthiest person alive!!

sometimes i take the Midol.
sometimes i drink the iced latte.
sometimes i eat the crunchy salad and fries knowing full well what my textbooks would say about it.

and honestly? i think that makes me a better practitioner.

because healing isn’t about being perfect. it’s about understanding your body, listening to it, and doing what’s realistic for YOU in that moment.

You went in for acne, irregular periods, hair loss, weight gain…
and left with a PCOS label and a prescription.

And to be fair, birth control can help in the short term.
It works by regulating your cycle artificially and lowering androgens, which can improve things like acne and irregular periods.

So it feels like it’s fixing the problem.

Hi, I’m Malika Sood — the founder of Amavi Wellness.

I started Amavi Wellness with one vision: to create a space where Eastern medicine and Western aesthetics work together - not separately.
