NURSE BURNOUT IS NOT A RESILIENCE FAILURE
Nurse burnout is more than exhaustion or poor coping. Unsafe workloads, skipped breaks, moral injury, role conflict, and chronic understaffing compound strain, fueling cynicism, detachment, and turnover. We explore how burnout differs across specialties and why prevention requires early warning systems, safer staffing, role redesign, protected recovery, and peer support. Nurses should not have to absorb a broken system as “resilience.”
