Sometimes it really is that simple.

Pausing when you hear your child wake overnight can be the difference between interrupting a sleep cycle transition and actually responding to a need.

If you want to see your child’s sleep stretches increase, try pausing for 5-10 minutes tonight. See what they do! You might find the “wakes” you thought they were having are just active, light sleep instead.
And if you’re still feeling exhausted, stuck and unsure of what to try next book your free discovery call so we can talk about how my sleep packages can work for your family.

Starting solids to fix sleep is often only going to make sleep worse.

“Just start solids” is common advice, and I get it. As a tired parent you want a quick fix to get sleeping. But those frequent night wakings usually have more to do with how your baby is falling asleep, not the fact they’re hungry and need more than breast milk or formula for nutrition.

As an RN, here’s what I want you to watch for instead:
☑️sitting without support
☑️picking things up and bringing them to their mouth
☑️actual interest in the food you’re eating

When these show up together, it can be a clear sign that it’s time to tackle solids. Rushing it just adds stress to a milestone that you should find exciting.

Want to take the guesswork out of it completely? Join me for starting solids confidently on September 26. You’ll leave knowing exactly how and when to start, as well as the lifesaving skills to handle choking if it ever happens in your home.

You planned every detail for your baby. When is the last time you planned for you?

Here is the one thing moms I see in those early weeks say almost every time “I was so ready for baby, but I was not prepared for all of this”.

They did everything right. They took the class, read the books, packed the perfect diaper bag. But they are still standing in their kitchen surviving on stale toast and cold coffee wondering why they feel like they are falling apart.

Preparing for baby, and truly preparing for postpartum are not the same thing. Most people only do the first one, and wonder why their body feels the way it feels.

This is the list I give every family in my prenatal classes, and that I go through with my newborn clients. Because setting yourself up for success before your baby arrives is not indulgent, it’s the difference between recovering and surviving in those early weeks.

This gap is what my newborn packages are designed to fill. A plan for the whole family, not just the baby. Visit the link in my bio to learn more

What you’re missing doesn’t live in the nursery.

It’s a postpartum plan. An insurance policy for when things feel like they’re going sideways, because they will.

The best thing you can give yourself is a plan for nourishment, feeding your baby (and the support that goes with it), and rest.

That’s it, that’s the secret.
