Nothing has made me feel like more of a failure than sourdough bread… ridiculous? Perhaps.
Way back in Spring 2020 I started trying to make sourdough (along with half of the world at that point!), but there were never any bubbles.
I cried. I wasted flour and my time. Honestly I gave up.
Fast forward over a year later, one of my friends had some sourdough starter to part with. I was so excited, and I couldn’t wait to bake with it! But I fed it, and nothing happened. All of the feelings of failure came rushing back.
My loving husband was quick to tell me that maybe it just needed to be fed again. So I did that night, and the next morning… BUBBLES, and it at least doubled in size!!! I danced around the kitchen, and then started baking sourdough bread & other treats… and I haven’t stopped!
It occurred to me that making sourdough bread is a lot like building a business; you’ll try, fail a bit, cry, feel like giving up, ask for help, and eventually succeed if you stick with it.
So tell me, what do you need help with?
