Today, in the thick, still heat of the afternoon, time seemed to soften. I stepped into the session with a simple intention: to let go of expectations and let everything flow.

Somewhere in the middle of our work, a sudden, sharp wave of anxiety washed over me. It felt heavy and restless, but as I settled deeper into the silence, I realized it wasn’t mine. It was my client’s—a silent burden he had been carrying, waiting to be acknowledged.

And then there was Sugar. She stood with us, a grounded, majestic presence, hovering near our heads. She wasn’t just standing there; she was actively weaving a frequency of clarity and vision into the space. Watching her, I was reminded of the profound power of nature to heal when we simply get out of the way. When the session ended, and my client shared his experience, the confirmation was absolute. The visions he received and the peace he found were living, breathing proof that this work is a bridge to deep, authentic healing.

I am still in awe.

For so long, I have held a vision of this work in my heart, wondering if it would truly reach people. Today, I saw it manifest. It is a powerful reminder that when we trust the process and step into our purpose, the universe meets us exactly where we are. I am deeply grateful for this journey, for the wisdom of the horses, and for my mentor, Mari, whose unwavering belief pushed me to finally embrace this calling.

I invited Oats to join us in the round pen today during my mom’s Reiki session, and the experience was truly moving. It was beautiful to watch him gently explore the space—he carefully pulled the blanket from her feet and, in a moment of deep connection, pressed his nose against her chest. My heart is so full seeing him learn how to hold space for another soul while quietly receiving the energy for himself. It was his first time, but I know it won’t be his last; I can already see him becoming a wonderful partner in this work, offering his steady, healing presence to clients in the future.

This morning, while I was preparing the space for a Reiki session, I found the herd resting together in such a peaceful, profound way. It has been a long journey for Oats to feel comfortable enough to lie down near Chai and Sugar, so seeing them all together like that was truly breathtaking—a moment of pure bliss.

As I set up the table, a light rain began to fall. At first, I felt a flicker of discouragement, hoping it would pass, but when it started to pick up, I had to quickly move everything under cover. Yet, as my client arrived and we settled in, I realized the change of plans was a blessing in disguise.

The session that followed was deeply moving. Sugar was a true partner in the work today. To make it even more magical, an eagle watched over us from a nearby tree for half the session. There was something so grounding and sacred about being under the shelter, listening to the rain while doing this work.

My heart is still overflowing from a truly sacred milestone. During my very first Reiki session, I was blessed to have my beautiful horse, Sugar, by my side as a partner in healing. As the energy began to flow, we witnessed something truly transcendent.

Sensing the depth of the moment, Sugar gently draped her head over the client’s chest. As she drifted into a peaceful, rhythmic slumber, her head lowered slowly until it rested softly against the client’s shoulder—a bridge of pure, wordless comfort. Then, she let out the softest, sweetest nicker, as if whispering a lullaby of healing directly to her soul.

I watched, breathless, as a wave of divine love washed over us, sending shivers of pure light through my entire being. It was the most profound, beautiful connection I have ever had the privilege to witness.

I am beyond grateful for this gift—to be a conduit for such deep healing and to offer this sanctuary to others. While there are no human words that can fully capture the alchemy of that moment, I felt the magic unfolding, layer by layer, as the client settled into a state of absolute, quiet grace. Reiki has woven its magic into my life for over a decade, guiding me towards a profound connection with my horses and the natural world. Recently, I felt a calling so strong that I decided to take the Jikiden Reiki course once more, reaffirming my commitment to this beautiful path. It’s with this heartwarming journey in mind that I have chosen to rename my business to Four Horse Reiki — a name that truly reflects my mission and the offerings I wish to share at the farm.

Throughout my exploration of various healing modalities, I’ve discovered that the most transformative experiences stem from the simplest practices. It’s about embracing the quiet stillness within us, emptying our minds, and being fully present. This journey does not need to be complicated; it can be a gentle return to our true selves.

Today, after watching Oats and Latte play joyfully in the arena, I felt a spark of inspiration to start cleaning the stalls. As I stepped out, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the two of them had decided to follow me, walking alongside from one end of the arena to the other, eventually reaching the big step-up block designed for the horses.

They had been having so much fun, running and playing, that I honestly didn’t think they would notice my presence. Yet, somehow, they did. Perhaps it was the intent in my heart to let them be free while I tidied up that drew them closer. Whatever the reason, they slowly made their way to me, curious and eager.

When we reached the big block, I pointed to it and invited Latte to step up, with no lead or halter to guide her. To my delight, she took that leap of faith and climbed up! I showered her with scratches, which she relished, while Oats watched a few steps back. After a moment, I asked her to step down, and she clumsily hopped off and wandered away.

Then it was Oats’ turn. As he stepped up, Latte, feeling a little possessive, pinned her ears at him. I gently reminded her to step back, and moving her away, and I then invited Oats again. To my amazement, he stepped up with confidence, standing tall and proud. I praised him endlessly, and soon, Latte returned, seeking affection once more.

As I scratched Latte, Oats remained on the block, and when I told him he could come down, he gracefully followed my cue and moved closer, watching as I pampered Latte with love.

In that moment, my heart overflowed with gratitude for these magical encounters. It’s moments like these that truly take my breath away and remind me of the incredible bond we share with horses. Earlier that morning, I had captured a snapshot of Oats on the block, telling him he was a good boy from afar. Though I didn’t have my phone with me during the cleaning, the memories we created together are forever etched in my heart. ❤️🐴

I'm excited to share that I’ve made the decision to embark on a six-month healing journey for myself. Since my car accident at the end of October last year, I’ve been feeling profoundly stuck, grappling not just with physical pain but with the emotional weight it has carried. It’s been an eye-opening experience, revealing just how deeply an accident can impact our mental and emotional well-being.

When I discovered this healing course, something resonated within me—it felt like a sign that this was meant for me. For the next six months, I will be dedicating my time and energy to nurturing my own well-being. As a result, I will be stepping back from offering moon circles and pausing my equine facilitated wellness business for now.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, I have learned that sometimes we need to take a step back and focus on our own healing before we are able to fully support others.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has joined me since last August and for your understanding as I take this necessary time to heal. Your support means the world to me, and I look forward to returning even stronger and more inspired to help others on their journeys. Thank you for being a part of my community.

Life often brings us lessons cloaked in unexpected packages, reminding us of the adage that what we focus on becomes our reality. We’ve heard it time and again: our thoughts shape our existence; our desires find their way to us. Yet, when these gifts arrive in ways we least expect, it prompts us to reflect deeply on our intentions.

For so long, I’ve been reaching out for assistance to confront my fears and heal childhood traumas that shadow my daily life. And when the universe finally responds, I find myself wanting to retreat rather than embrace it.

Let me share my journey. Last year, I set out in search of my dream horse—a companion for life. Then, like a beautiful gift from the universe, Latte appeared. She embodies the spirit of the Spanish Mustang, a breed I have admired for so long. I manifested my desire, but as I began the search anew this year, I realized I had not fully clarified what I was seeking.

In my heart, I called out for help to break free from the patterns that have kept me stagnant. I envisioned a rideable horse, which I found in Oats. However, he has brought forward all the anxiety and fears I struggle with—those impulses to give up before truly beginning.

Yet, this time, I choose to face it. I choose to journey through the discomfort and embrace the lessons that Oats is teaching me. I recognize that to free myself from the chains of fear that have held me back for too long, I must push through the challenging moments. By confronting the “ugly,” I lay the groundwork for transformation and growth.

Together with Oats, I am learning to rise above my fears, reclaiming the courage that resides within me. It’s a journey toward liberation, reminding me that sometimes, the path to healing lies in facing our deepest anxiweties head-on.
