Heyy! I see you. I know I’m here reminding you to slow down, but please know I’m shouting this at myself, too. 😅
Maybe your week looked a lot like mine.. To be completely transparent, it was a lot. My mind was racing, my battery was at zero & instead of resting, the instinct is always to just keep pushing through the chaos. It’s so easy to fall right back into that old trap of trying to achieve your way out of stress, running yourself straight into a wall because you forgot how to just stop.
I had to physically bring myself to the forest and sit my ass down just to slow down! If you are like me, you probably feel that internal itch of guilt the second you try to sit still.
But sitting out here in the quiet of the woods, I’m anchoring myself back into reality and I want to remind you of it, too: True self-love isn’t about constant movement or endless accomplishments. It’s about having the deep self-awareness and love to say “I am tired, and I need to protect my peace.”
Through the busy seasons and the exhausting ones..we have to have our own backs. We have to learn to be there for ourselves not just during the wins, but during the pauses as well. Trust me, it is not easy for me to slow down, but when we start to replace that guilt with love, we finally come back to who we are.
You don’t need to prove your value to anyone... not even to yourself. Let’s drop the guilt together today. Go take a break. 🤍
