Dalhousie Health and Wellness is participating in on Saturday May 23rd from 10am-1pm in support of Perinatal Mental Health!

When I support new moms in my clinical practice it is truly an honour to be there for them. And a joy when they bring their new babies to session too! Many moms come for support with postpartum depression or anxiety or trauma and talk about how they underestimated the challenges in the early days of motherhood. And when I say I understand, I really do.
Having lived experience as a therapist matters. In my early days of being a mom I was not prepared for the impacts of sleep deprivation, the brain fog, the isolation and how to deal with so much uncertainty in my life.

Now that I’m over a decade into this parenting process I feel more confident and able to support others in the beginning of their journey. Come on out and join us on Saturday in support and recognition of perinatal mental health! .dhw
