There are so many great ways to support your body’s stress response and adrenal health. While it is encouraged to optimize the nutrition you are consuming through diet, it’s not always possible. The other side to that is that food quality, accessibility, finances and time can all impact the ability to obtain adequate “nutrition”.
When you require extra support supplementation can be a great way to fill the nutritional gaps & support your adrenal health. Do you find supplementation helpful to fill the gaps when needed? It’s certainly been helpful for me over there years. 🥰

Winter = Soup Season! Truth be told, it’s really my favorite any time of the year! In this big ole pot is England Clam Chowder, ready to simmer away. The flavors are amazing if I do say so myself. 😋 This version is dairy free, and you honestly can’t tell.
Here’s what I did 👇

New England Clam Chowder
4-6 slices Bacon chopped(I always use more than less)😋
1c.Yellow Onions,diced
1c.Celery with leaves,diced
1c.Carrots, diced
A handful of chopped kale (last minute add in!)
2-3 tbsp potato starch)
1/4-1tsp. Herbamare
Pepper to taste or leave out
2 Cans Minced Clams with juice (drain clams through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl and let any sediment fall to the bottom -being careful not to add that into your Chowder)
2 cloves garlic - minced
2c. Chicken Broth
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed or shredded.
1-3 Bay Leaves
2c. Pea Milk
Using a large pot, fry chopped bacon over medium high heat until fat renders out and the edges begin to crisp. Add chopped onion, celery and kale and sauté until softened and onion/celery is translucent about 3-5 minutes. Reduce heat to low and add carrots and potatos along with chicken broth, reserved clam juice, pea milk, herbamare, minced garlic and bay leaves. Combine potato starch with a touch of water to make slurry, add to pot and stir to incorporate, then bring mixture to a boil. Turn heat down to simmer and let cook until all the veggies are tender, approx 10-15 minutes.
Then at the end add in the reserved minced clams and cook for an additional 2-4 minutes. Make sure to remove bay leaves before serving. Let me know if you try it out! ❤️

Gut Healthy Smoothie Ingredients. This is what I like to ad to most of my smoothies! 🍓
H**p Hearts: A good source of both soluble and insoluble fiber and Omega 3 & 6
Collagen Powder: High in Amino Acids for healing and sealing the gut.
Probiotic: increase the healthy microbes in your gut with a high quality probiotic.
Raw Honey: Acts as a prebiotic. It can also promote the growth of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria in your gut. A natural antimicrobial which can act synergistically with the probiotics against certain pathogens in the gut.
Cinnamon: Stabilizes blood sugar and aids digestion.
Plant based milk - we usually have Oat since my son has nut allergies. ❤️

Can you eat grains while healing your gut? Carbohydrates can be hard to digest even for those with a healthy gut. With that said, if you are suffering from digestive issues you may want to consider looking at the amount of grains in your diet and consider removing them for a period of time. Properly preparing grains helps us digest them easier, especially when trying to heal your gut. ✨
