This world is built to make it safer to hide ourselves and conform. Burnout is praised as the sacrifice of the highest achievers. Empathy, vulnerability, and rest are chastised as weakness. Art, music, and dance are praised as 'little hobbies', suggesting them as insignificant, even though they often contain more soul in a single stroke than an entire years worth of spreadsheets.
Living in the survival, the world shaped for productivity can not only make us more efficient in these traits, but make us lose connection with ourselves.
Learning to turn back toward the self, reclaiming identity and passion is a labor of love. Remembering the magic that once lived in our soul, appreciating the glimmers from around us, understanding the language of our body, can provide the depth and growth we've long cut off.
