The International Day of the Midwife (IDM) 2026 theme, “One Million More Midwives,” highlights a global call to address critical midwifery workforce shortages. Evidence shows that investing in well-educated, regulated, and supported midwives improves outcomes for women, newborns, and newborns while strengthening health systems. For AAM, this reinforces the importance of advocacy for sustainable workforce planning and full scope of practice to ensure better care across Alberta and beyond.

Thank you to all mums asking why I have not been posting regularly for some time now. I took time off social media to complete my MBA course🙏🏾. Yes, babies were still being delivered with great grand entrances😁🤗 here are some of their beautiful pictures.
