I am going to live forever! 😂

More babies mo' babies mo' babies! Having kids a little later may help you live longer. A doc I used to work with.....Dr Mayer Eisenstein.... always said, "Having babies when your are older keeps a mom young!"

Here’s why:

➕ In Harvard studies, researchers noticed that women who had their last child after 33 reached 95 more often. Ovaries experience slower biological depletion and estrogen stays longer, protecting the heart and vessels.

➕ Hormones evolve over time. After 33, the body has had years to adapt, and pregnancy can deliver a powerful metabolic reset.

➕ In 2015, geneticists found that women who have kids later have longer telomeres, a sign of slower cellular aging.

➕ Studies also note that women who give birth later often have lower stress levels, better nutrition, and greater financial stability, which all reduce cardiovascular risks, the main cause of female mortality.

➕ And the long-term payoff? Studies from the European Center for Reproductive Medicine suggest that pregnancy after 33 supports healthier immune regulation, helping delay age-related conditions and reduce chronic inflammation tied to aging.

There are so many aspects of my work that are enjoyable. 🥰

Last week I got to teach online which I adore and I got to help a sweet 18-day old to breastfeed. However I also got to do a prenatal breastfeeding education session in a client's home.

She purchased just the prenatal appointment with no visits after the birth. I have had numerous women do that over the years and I am always delighted to set someone up for success with a personalized education session. I want those Mamas to know what to expect and to feel confident as they get started with nursing their brand new baby.

I leave them with handouts, send an email with lots of videos and information and of course they know they can call me for any basic questions before or after baby comes.

I wish this family the best of luck with their precious little one who is due this week! 👶🏻

Last week brought a 3.5 hour breastfeeding class, a breastfeeding visit with a sweet one month old, and a lovely repeat client having me come help baby #2 with breastfeeding. 🥰

What will this week bring?

Seriously. I never know! 🤣

Today I was off to a follow-up appointment!

Not every Mom needs one, in fact most don’t. My first visit is very comprehensive and detailed and I offer follow-up by phone and email for as long as is needed. So I stay in touch with some Moms for quite a while.

But occasionally a Mom wants me to do another in-person visit and we can see what has changed, review what we have done so far and create a new plan together of how best to proceed.

We did that today and it was a true pleasure to work with this family again! 🥰

Guilty! 😂How about you? Do you do this as well?
