πŸ–€ Rest in Peace, Sweet Parker πŸ–€

After nearly two weeks of searching, Calgary Police have recovered the body of a child they believe to be Parker.

This is the heartbreaking outcome no one hoped for.

Thank you to every first responder, volunteer, and community member who searched, shared, and never gave up hope.

My deepest condolences to Parker’s family and everyone grieving this unimaginable loss.

You will never be forgotten. 🀍

πŸ’™ DAY 7: Bring Parker Home πŸ’™

Today marks Day 7 since 11-year-old Parker disappeared in Calgary.

Like so many of you, I’ve woken up every morning hoping today would be the day we receive the news we’ve all been praying for.

As a mom of a neurodivergent child, and as someone born and raised in Calgary, this case has stayed with me in a way that’s difficult to describe. My heart remains with Parker, his family, the searchers, investigators, and everyone carrying the weight of not knowing.

Yesterday, Calgary Police released a map outlining Parker’s known and believed route based on CCTV from July 16. The search continues today, with investigators emphasizing that they are not giving up and that every lead continues to be thoroughly investigated.

Search efforts continue

Since Parker was reported missing:

πŸ’™ More than 400 Calgary Police Service members have assisted in the search.
πŸ’™ Over 5,500 search hours have been completed.
πŸ’™ More than 7,000 kilometres have been coveredβ€”the equivalent of travelling from Calgary to London, England.
πŸ’™ Several hundred homes and businesses have been searched.
πŸ’™ Extensive searches have included aerial support, canine teams, mounted patrol, mountain bike officers, river searches, underwater camera deployments, railway searches, and trained search volunteers.
πŸ’™ Investigators have reviewed several hundred hours of CCTV, residential security camera, and dashcam footage.
πŸ’™ More than 300 public tips have been received and assessed.

🚨 Two important reminders from police

There is NO official GoFundMe for Parker.

Police are warning the public about an unauthorized fundraiser claiming to support Parker’s family. Please verify any online fundraiser before donating.

Police are also asking the public not to investigate tips on their own or confront residents. While everyone wants to help, independent investigations can put people at risk and divert valuable police resources away from finding Parker. If you have information, report it directly to investigators.

Please keep looking

Parker is:
β€’ 11 years old
β€’ 4’11”
β€’ Approximately 90 lbs
β€’ Brown eyes
β€’ Shaved brown hair
β€’ Last seen shirtless, wearing dark shorts and black noise-cancelling headphones.

Parker is neurodivergent and non-verbal. If you see him, do not approach him. Keep him in sight and call 911 immediately.

πŸ’™ To everyone following this case…

Please take care of your nervous system today.

This search has touched people across Canada. The waiting is incredibly difficult, and emotions are running high. Staying calm, sharing verified information, checking our own properties where appropriate, and allowing investigators to follow up on credible leads gives Parker the best chance possible.

I’m still holding onto hope.

Come home, Parker. We’re all waiting for you. πŸ’™

This years theme for Mental Health Week is β€œCome Together,” which invites all of us to strengthen our connection to ourselves, to one another, and to our communities. At its core, this theme recognizes that connection is foundational to mental health and well-being.

Children’s Mental Health Ontario (CMHO) is helping to raise awareness, call for action and strengthen advocacy and have included some great resources on their site to spread the word about how important connection is. Check out this link for some helpful reads on Mental Health Week.
