Look what I found today — I nearly stepped on them! 🌰✨

It’s a pair of acorns still attached to each other. They have this beautiful silvery shimmer and are exceptionally large. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever seen acorns quite like these.

Finding two acorns attached together immediately made me curious about their symbolism. Acorns are often associated with potential, growth, abundance and new beginnings, while two together could bring in themes of partnership, connection and things growing alongside one another. The silvery shimmer makes them feel even more unusual.

I’m excited to explore the symbolism a little deeper because, strangely enough, I’ve had a special relationship with nuts in my readings and spiritual experiences for years. Different kinds have appeared at interesting moments and have carried different meanings for me.

Something else came to mind when I picked them up: an old Cinderella movie I remember from Germany, where Cinderella receives three magical nuts, each containing something that helps transform her circumstances and ultimately her future.

Maybe that’s part of the symbolism too — possibility, imagination, transformation, and dreaming a different future into existence. ✨

A term I recently came across while researching auditory hallucinations and fragmented trauma memories is autonoetic consciousness.

Coined by Canadian psychologist Endel Tulving, it describes a remarkable human capacity: the ability to mentally travel through time.

To remember yourself in your own past.
To mentally place yourself in your future.
And to reflect on your own thoughts and experiences.

What struck me was recognizing how much dissociation had affected this ability in me.

Then, as my mind began to heal around 2015, something changed.

I began remembering my past.

And, strangely enough, I began what I can only describe as remembering my future.

There is a quality of recognition to these experiences that feels very different to me from simply thinking about what might happen.

Tulving’s work gave me an interesting framework for something I’ve experienced for years. But I believe there may be more to our relationship with time — something I’m going to explore further in my book.

Just for fun, AI created a Disney princess version of myself with my Disney Prince version… I just thought it was really cute. I went to the beach today and discovered this beautiful little plant that completely captured my attention. I couldn’t stop looking at its unusual, shiny fruit.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I looked up what kind of plant it was. It turned out to be the star-flowered lily-of-the-valley, and its symbolism felt incredibly fitting for where I am in life right now.

Sometimes the things that catch our eye aren’t random. Whether you call it intuition, synchronicity, or simply a moment of reflection, nature has a beautiful way of reflecting what we may need to see.
