Prairie Sk-eyes Optometry is looking for an optometric assistant to join our team. No experience is required, however previous experience in a medical field or in office administration is an asset. There will be on the job training and potential for sponsored courses to up your game and wage!

We strive to provide excellent care and amazing customer service to our patients. 📆 We are looking for someone to work full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts ranging from 8:30-6:00. No weekends, no evenings, and no stat holidays. We are also closed for extra days over Christmas holidays to spend quality time with our families.

🤓 Your role may include, but is not limited to:
- Check in patients, run through insurance, book appointments, answer phone calls and take payments
- Pre-test patients before they see the doctor
- Help patients with eyeglasses frame and lens selection.
- Dispense and sell glasses 👓
- Contact lens teaching
- Keep the office organized and clean
- Be able to troubleshoot independently
- Work well in a team environment!

🎓 Qualifications: 🎓
- You MUST be good with people!
- You need to be able to help patients of all ages and of all backgrounds
- Have a positive attitude and mindset
- Organization and attention to detail is key so you must be able to multi-task
- Be professional yet enthusiastic
- Respond well to constructive criticism

💲 Compensation: 💲

Starting at $19.00/hour, with higher compensation available based on experience and qualifications. And of course, excellent vision care and eyewear perks! 👓

Last night we celebrated a big milestone ✨

We celebrated Dr. Nathan Knezacek’s “retirement”, or more like “transition” away from the Esterhazy Optometry Clinic.

Don’t worry, Dr. Knezacek isn’t really going anywhere. He will still be serving our community and seeing patients 2-3 days/month. 🤓

The final details of the transition of the clinic from Dr. Knezacek to Dr. Bomboir are still in the finishing stages. Over the next couple of months you will see a new sign on the building, and renovations take place inside and out.

Although the clinic may start to look different, the same friendly faces who you love will still be there! 🥰

Join us in congratulating Dr. Knezacek on this next chapter in his career! His legacy will remain and we will never forget the incredible patient care he has provided to the Esterhazy community over the past 24 years. 🎉
