This has been a good year for the honey bees! We have increased the number of hives from 7 to 12 by catching some swarms and splitting hives.

Over the summer, a number of activities through the HUB have introduced small groups to the experience of encountering honey bees.

On Sunday, Aug 23rd, we will be harvesting the honey from Stoney Point.. Anyone interested in participating in this experience is invited to meet at the HUB at 3:00 pm. From the HUB, we will go to the hives at Stoney Point to remove the honey frames from the hive, then come back to the HUB to extract the honey.

💜 Remember. Support. Take Action.

International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31 – a day to remember those we've lost to overdose, support the people and families impacted, and take action to help prevent future loss.

Several events are happening across Sarnia-Lambton this year. We encourage our community to participate, wear purple, and help raise awareness about overdose.

By talking openly, reducing stigma, and supporting one another with compassion, we can help save lives.
