Thinking of booking a massage for your little one, but not sure if it's right for you? Let me take you through “what to expect” when you visit me!
First things first, there are NO expectations from me during this appointment. However you show up, I am just glad you're here. ❤️
If babe can be recently fed, that would be great to help keep them content, but we can also stop to feed, chat, or soothe as needed. Sometimes babies have their own agenda, and that is OKAY! We do everything according to their cues.
Can you bring your spouse to the appointment? OF COURSE!
Do you have to? Not at all. You can bring a Starbucks coffee and have a snooze if you want 💁♀️
I do ask that we keep it to 2 adults in addition to me and your infant to keep things cozy.
Once you arrive, we’ll head back and start talking about what you've noticed with babe and how they made their grand entrance.
During this chat, I’ll hold them, let them get comfortable, and we’ll do some assessments. The assessments will vary based on the reason for your visit.
These may look like small hugs, stretches, tummy time, etc. We work with baby and make sure they’re comfortable the entire time.
Then, depending on how they tolerate the assessments, we’ll move into massage to address our findings. Baby will be undressed to parents comfort level (diaper always left on - babies tend to p*e more when getting massages 😂).
Please feel free to ask questions or jump in whenever you want. I know that sometimes it can be difficult when someone else is holding your little one or if they seem to be uncomfortable.
At the end of our treatment, I’ll provide home care if required and recommend a follow-up if needed.
The most important thing to remember is that every treatment can look different. One day, they can be calm, sleepy, and super receptive - then the next, they just want to be held the entire time.
Don’t worry - we can work around that!
