This feels vulnerable to share, but it also feels important.
For a long period of my life, I took estro Sense hormone balancers.
And I want to be clear , I’m not here to tell anyone what they should or shouldn’t take. I can only speak about what happened in my own body.
At the time, I genuinely feel like they got me through what I needed to get through. I needed support. I needed some relief. And I’m grateful for the role they played during that chapter of my life.
But looking back, I also realize something else.
Somewhere along the way, I lost some of my fire.
I felt quieter inside. Less connected to that fierce, alive, passionate part of me. And for a long time, I didn’t recognize how much of myself I was missing.
One of the biggest things nervous system regulation and somatic work has taught me is that my body speaks long before my mind catches up.
My YES lives in my body.
My NO lives there too.
And one day, my body gave me a very clear NO.
I went to take them like I had so many times before, and something in me just refused.
No overthinking.
No big dramatic decision.
Just a deep, undeniable feeling of I don’t want this anymore.
So I listened.
And slowly, I started feeling something return.
My fire.
My energy.
My emotions.
My desire.
My voice.
My aliveness.
ME.
This journey has taught me that healing isn’t always about doing more, fixing more, or overriding what we feel.
Sometimes it’s about becoming quiet enough to hear the wisdom that has been living in our bodies all along.
I’m grateful for what supported me when I needed it.
And I’m also grateful that I’m learning when it’s time to let something go.
Because my fire is coming back.
And damn, I missed her. 🔥
