I am a maternity nurse, lactation consultant (IBCLC) and prenatal teacher. I worked on the maternity unit welcoming babies into the world for most of my nursing career until I had my precious little boy in 2020. Although my son was the best thing that has ever happened to me, his arrival, and the postpartum period with him really shook up my life. Two months after his birth, the world went into full shutdown for the pandemic. It was at this time I learned how important a village was because mine was stripped away. After the first year of my motherhood experience, I realized it can be one of the most isolating and lonely times in a parent’s life. And I know that’s hard to talk about, because while we absolutely adore our children, and love parenthood, sometimes it just sucks (and that’s okay). I knew there was something I could do to help new mothers who don’t have that village. Whether its lack of support, not having family close by, or just needing someone who “gets it” we all deserve support and community in this new season of life. My mission is to support you.

A little maternity leave update 🤍

I’ll officially be stepping away from client care beginning August 1st as we prepare to welcome our newest little one.

At this time, I don’t have a set return date for consultations, and I’m intentionally leaving that open-ended, and giving myself the space to see what postpartum and life as a family of four looks like before deciding what returning to client care will look like for me.

For now, I’m booking my remaining July availability before maternity leave begins! I have just a few more visits available. 🥹

I’ll still be around here sharing pieces of pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood along the way. 🤍

Back in July, I mentioned that some big changes were coming for our group. The biggest change is that I am getting ready to head out on my own maternity leave! Before our group takes a temporary intermission, let’s get together one last time to enjoy the summer weather and celebrate this community we have created.

Join us for a relaxed morning designed for moms & babies to connect, sip on some fresh lemonade, enjoy a sweet treat, and simply get outside for a bit.

Hospital visits with my clients are sacred 🤍

These first moments, tiny toes, latching for the first time. It’s an honour to be invited into these moments and my deepest passion to support you in it.

Nine years ago I became a maternity nurse, and my absolute favourite part was spending those quiet moments at the bedside helping with feeding. I had always hoped, but never imagined this is where I’d be now. 🤍

If you are due this summer with a little one, and want to feel supported in feeding, don’t hesitate to reach out. I have a few more spaces before my own maternity leave starts in August.

🤍 Nips & Sips: Private Edition 🤍

Over the past few months, I’ve had so many expecting parents ask when the next Nips & Sips prenatal class would be offered. So many hoping for a June or July date!

As I prepare for maternity leave, I’ve decided to offer a limited number of private prenatal feeding classes throughout June and July. Think Nips & Sips, but with you, your support person, and it’s perfectly customized to you.

This 1-hour one-on-one session is completely tailored to your family’s goals, whether you’re planning to breastfeed, pump, combo feed, or simply want to feel more prepared before baby arrives.

We’ll cover:
• What to expect in the first days after birth
• How to know baby is getting enough milk
• Breastfeeding basics
• Pumping, bottles, fl**ge fitting
• Common challenges and when to seek support
• Your specific feeding goals and questions

Investment: $100

Sessions must be booked in June and redeemed by July 31st.

Feeding isn’t always the same, even from one baby to the next 🤍

I saw a mama today who had a smooth first feeding journey…

so this time, when things weren’t improving, and actually felt like they were getting harder… it felt confusing, defeating, and honestly a little unexpected.

And I see this all the time in my work as an IBCLC.

Every baby has a unique feeding journey.
There’s beauty in that — especially for those who didn’t get the experience they hoped for the first time.

But there’s also truth in this:
sometimes the next journey needs more support.

And that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.

Every baby is different.
Every feeding journey is different.
And support isn’t just for first-time moms.

It also doesn’t have to be something you only seek out once things feel really hard.

✨ Feeding support doesn’t have to be reactionary.

If something feels off, harder than expected, or just different, you deserve support in that too.

Over the next couple of months, I’ll be seeing a limited number of clients each week.

A little life update 🤍

I got married ✨

I was dreaming of an intimate day, just the three of us, close to the water, and we found exactly that.

The Village wouldn’t be what it is today without my husband. He has supported this dream of mine from the very beginning 🤍
