Here’s the unfiltered truth about keeping cancer away:
There’s no one food, pill, or quick fix that does it.

But there is a way to create the kind of internal environment where cancer simply doesn’t thrive.

Inside our work with clients, we focus on 8 foundational areas that support deep, lasting healing:
🌿 Anti-inflammatory nutrition
— built around balanced blood sugar, high-quality foods, and antioxidants
💪 Muscle-building movement
— because walking isn’t enough; strength protects you
🧠 Stress resilience
— shifting from “fight the cancer” to “support the whole person”
🧬 Epigenetic insight
— not gene testing, but real-time data on how your body responds to food + supplements
💊 Research-backed supplements
— nothing trendy, just what’s been shown to help
💤 Detox + digestion
— supporting elimination and absorption so your body can heal and defend

Yes, it takes intention. But it doesn’t have to feel like a full-time job.

It’s about stacking small, smart actions that move your body out of survival mode and into protection mode.

The supplement stack a cancer survivor online swears by was never built for your body.

You'd never take a prescription written for someone else. Same diagnosis, same stage, it would still be absurd. So why are so many women following someone else's cancer recovery protocol? The influencer's supplement stack. The Facebook group's anti-cancer diet. The 12 foods a stranger swears by.

I understand the pull. When you're scared, someone else's certainty feels like a life raft. But borrowed certainty isn't the same as the right plan for you.

A plan built for your body starts with your data. Your blood work, so we're working from what's true for you rather than what's trending. And when it's useful, your epigenetics, a saliva test that shows how your body handles detoxification, hormone metabolism, and DNA repair. Not to predict your future, but to personalize where we focus first.

From there, we sequence it. Foundations first, in the right order for you. Because the order matters as much as the actions. That's the difference between collecting more information and finally knowing what to do with it.

You're not a copy of anyone else. Your plan shouldn't be either.

Sugar and cancer... It’s more complicated...but less scary.

Yes, cancer cells consume sugar to grow. But so do your muscle cells, brain cells, skin cells, liver cells, etc.

Is sugar good for us? Does it really serve a purpose in our health? No. We can get along without it.

But will consuming some sugar now and then be the main factor by which cancer starts and grows? No. We can consume sugar and still create an environment in the body where cancer doesn’t want to grow.

How can you enjoy your favorite treats without fear over cancer coming back?

Here are a few tips:
1️⃣reduce sugar consumption overall (no duh, right? I know haha). Simple but important. Consider not having sweets daily, go for dark over milk chocolate, switch out white sugar for honey, maple syrup, agave, stevia, and monks fruit.

2️⃣ never eat carbs alone, always combine with protein, fiber, and/or healthy fat. This helps lower the release of sugar into your bloodstream (preventing blood sugar spikes - more on the importance of this below)

3️⃣ save your treats for after meals instead of first thing in the day (I.e. no cereal, donuts, muffins, or granola bars for bfast please) or midday (a treat won’t solve your after lunch energy slump)

4️⃣ build muscle. Muscle will help your body break down sugars. And walking after meals for 10 mins can help lower blood sugar.

That’s why I created my training:
The First 4 Steps to Staying Cancer Free.

I’ll show you what actually matters after cancer — and where to start with nutrition, without the stress.

You've probably heard about GLP-1s by now, whether it's from a friend, a podcast, or your own doctor bringing it up.

And whether you're still in treatment, just wrapping up, or years past it, you might be wondering something specific. Not just "will this help me lose weight?" but "could this actually help keep my cancer from coming back?"

Here is what surprises most people when I explain it. GLP-1s were never built to attack cancer cells, but they do have an anti-cancer impact. So if that's the reason you're considering one, there's more to the story.

Q: What are the best supplements and nutrition plan to keep cancer from coming back?

A: It depends.
Not on your diagnosis — but on your data.

The truth is, no one plan fits every survivor.

You need to know what’s happening inside your body. That means asking better questions and looking at the systems cancer thrives in.

I start with:
✔️ Your full health history
✔️ Comprehensive blood work (nutrients, inflammation, growth markers)
✔️ Epigenetic testing (how your body clears hormones, balances blood sugar, processes antioxidants, and more)

When you put that together, you don’t need to guess.

You can support your body in the ways it actually needs.

The weight shifted during treatment, and now everyone seems to have an opinion about GLP-1s. Your GP mentions it, a friend is on one and feels amazing, and the headlines keep calling it a game changer for everything from weight to cancer prevention.

But you're not asking whether it works. You're asking the harder question, the one nobody at your follow-up appointments has answered: "Is this helping my recovery, or getting in the way of it?"

In this week's episode of The Flourish After Cancer Podcast, I walk through what GLP-1s do in the pancreas, stomach, and brain, why chronically elevated insulin creates a more cancer-friendly internal environment, and where these medications fall short after treatment, including muscle loss, gut effects, and the root cause they leave untouched.

And if your glucose and HbA1c look "normal" but no one has ever checked your fasting insulin, this one is especially for you.

Finishing cancer treatment is often supposed to feel like the finish line.
Relief. Gratitude. A deep breath.

But for many women, it’s also confusing.

You’re told to “get back to normal,” yet your body feels anything but normal.
The urgency is gone… but the fatigue, inflammation, hormone shifts, and quiet fear of recurrence are still there.

And here’s the part almost no one explains:

The strategies that helped you 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 treatment aren’t the same ones that help you stay well afterward.

During treatment, your body needed protection, tolerance, and just enough support to keep going.

After treatment, it needs rebuilding, regulation, and targeted care that restores balance and resilience over time.

This isn’t about doing more.
It’s about doing 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵.

When we don’t make that shift, women often feel stuck — tired, inflamed, unsure if they’re doing the “right” things, and quietly worried they’re missing something important.

You’re not broken.
You’re just in a new phase.

And that phase deserves its own plan.

Someone told you to avoid soy and flax after breast cancer. And you've been avoiding them ever since.

That advice came from a real place.

Phytoestrogens are plant compounds that interact with estrogen receptors, and when you've had an estrogen-driven cancer, anything that touches estrogen feels like a threat. That fear makes complete sense.

But the fear got applied too broadly, and it's costing some women genuinely helpful foods.

Whole soy and ground flax in moderate amounts behave very differently in your body than a concentrated phytoestrogen supplement. The food form comes buffered with fibre and nutrients. It acts gently. The supplement form is isolated and much stronger. Same word on the label. Very different biology.

When someone says "avoid all phytoestrogens," they usually mean well. But that rule treats a whole food and a high-dose supplement as if they're the same thing, and they're not.

For most breast cancer survivors I work with, moderate amounts of whole soy and ground flax have a real place in a recovery plan.

Concentrated supplements are where we slow down and look at your specific situation, your cancer type, your treatment, your labs.

If you're on tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor, this is worth bringing to your team.

The goal is always to support your body alongside your treatment, not instead of it.

Most cancer treatment stops at chemo, surgery, or radiation.

But recovery, and long-term protection, require going deeper.

Not just into what happened…
But why it happened in your body.
And how to make sure it does not happen again.

What I have found in working with survivors is this:
Preventing recurrence is not about copying someone else’s plan.

It is not about cutting out chocolate or chasing miracle supplements.

It is about looking at the personal systems in YOUR body that either block cancer or quietly make space for it.

Most people never get that kind of support.
Not because they do not care.
But because they do not even know where to look.

That’s why I created The Cancer Recurrence Prevention Blueprint training.

This training is not a general “do what I did” treatment plan.
It is a deeper conversation about how to create a body where cancer does not want to grow.

"Cut out sugar" is usually the first thing women hear after cancer treatment ends.

But sugar is just one small piece of a much bigger picture.

There are 5 other things that quietly shape your internal environment after treatment — and most women have never been told about them.

Swipe to see what they are. 👉
