We are grateful to see the conversation around menopause care continuing to grow within our community!

A heartfelt thank you to DundasToday for taking the time to learn more about our newly opened Dundas Menopause Clinic and for helping raise awareness about the importance of accessible, informed, and compassionate menopause support.

For many people, perimenopause and menopause can bring significant changes to mental health, physical wellbeing, relationships, sleep, identity, and daily life. Yet so many continue to navigate these experiences without the support, information, or validation they deserve.

Our hope in opening the Dundas Menopause Clinic is to create a space where these conversations can happen openly and where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported through every stage of the journey.

We are honoured to be part of a growing movement that is bringing menopause out of the shadows and into the conversations it has always deserved.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this vision so far and to our community for the warm welcome.

Supervision, slowed down.

Not another box to check.
Not something to rush through between sessions.
But a place to land.

Our new Half-Day Supervision Intensive is a four-hour, seasonal experience for therapists who are craving more spaciousness. Time to pause, turn inward, and reflect in a way that feels deeply supported.

Co-facilitated by our frolleague Heather Hendrie from True Nature Wilderness Therapy and Clinical Director Cree Lambeck of Cherry Tree Counselling, this intensive blends CRPO-eligible clinical supervision with intentional mentorship, grounded community, and space for real integration.

Think of it as a seasonal retreat for your supervision practice.
A companion to your individual, dyad, or group supervision.
A slower rhythm that invites you back into your own wisdom.

You can expect grounding.
You can expect renewal.

You’ll leave feeling resourced, witnessed, and reconnected to the heart of your work.

This small, closed group is especially supportive for therapists working in perinatal and women-focused care, trauma and grief, identity-centred practice, and eco- or nature-based frameworks.

If you’re ready to reflect, reset, and return to your work with intention, you’re warmly invited.

Pause for a moment and check in with yourself.

Not what you should be doing.
Not what everyone else needs from you.
Just this simple question:

What do you need in this moment?

Maybe it's a deep breath.
A glass of water.
A stretch.
A boundary.
A break.
A reminder that you're doing enough.

Self-care doesn't always have to be big or complicated. Sometimes it's simply noticing what you need and giving yourself permission to respond with care.

💗 Take a minute today. Your needs matter, too.

The Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program provides coverage for mental health counselling services for eligible First Nations and Inuit clients.

Amy Commanda, Registered Psychotherapist, will soon be able to offer therapy under this program, and a waitlist is now open.

Amy is a First Nations therapist on our team who approaches therapy as a collaborative and respectful process. Her work is not about “fixing,” but about creating space for clients to explore their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and feel supported in a way that is meaningful to them.

Amy focuses on supporting adult women, mothers, and perinatal clients who are seeking support with anxiety, stress management, sleep issues, identity, work-life balance, life transitions, and more.

If you are eligible for NIHB and have been considering therapy, you are welcome to reach out to learn more or be added to the waitlist. Email us at [email protected] to get started.

“What does menopause care mean to you?”

For me, it means walking alongside clients through a transition I’m beginning to understand more personally.

As I enter perimenopause, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for how exhausting this stage can feel—
and how it can become one more thing to carry in an already full life.

Because it’s not just the symptoms.

It’s the mental load.
The shifts in energy.
The quiet question of “why does this feel so hard right now?”

And you know what?
Having the right support can change that experience.

Having knowledge.
Tools that actually make sense.
A clear, steady plan.

It can take some of the weight off.
It can bring a sense of grounding in something that often feels uncertain.

That’s what menopause care means to me.

Support that feels steady.
Practical.
And genuinely understanding of what you’re going through.
