Healthcare is always evolving — and so should we.

One thing I’ve learned as both a nurse and educator is that education does not stop once you become the teacher. In many ways, becoming an educator pushes you to learn even more.

I’m proud to continue investing in advanced education, professional development, and educator training to better support both my patients and the healthcare professionals I teach. From advanced nursing foot care education, educator development, chronic disease education, and specialized training such as Onyfix® educator certification, every course and opportunity helps strengthen the care and education I provide.

As nurses, we have a responsibility to remain current, evidence-informed, and committed to lifelong learning. Professional development is not about collecting certificates — it’s about improving patient outcomes, strengthening clinical skills, supporting safer care, and building confidence in the next generation of healthcare professionals.

I’m grateful for every opportunity to continue growing both clinically and professionally, and I look forward to continuing to support nurses and healthcare teams across Manitoba and Northern Ontario through education and mentorship.
