The summer solstice is a threshold. As the longest day, when the light begins to turn, it offers a sacred pause for reflection.
Summer solstice is an invitation for women to gather, to step from anticipation into summer itself, with intention and with each other. As yang energy rises, this retreat invites us to bring its quieter companion too: the yin, the receiving, the being, and the inner life that so easily gets left behind once summer picks up its pace.
Held on the sacred 100 acres of Fells Meadows, with its whispering forests, meandering trails, stone labyrinth, and sun-warmed yurt, we will explore guided meditations, dream work, reflective sharing circles, and immersive time in nature. Past participants have described it as a place where joy, peace, and meaningful connections unfold.
Leslie Fell, founder of Fells Meadows and the Living Ways Foundation, brings 40 years of experience in health and community care, and philanthropy. She cherishes holding space for women in circles and retreats, supporting them to reconnect with nature, with each other, and within themselves, heart, body, mind, and soul.
Sarah Hutchison is an experienced facilitator whose own healing journey informs the warmth and depth she brings to retreat spaces. With a background spanning international development, teaching, and counselling psychology, she has a gift for helping people feel genuinely seen.
The weekend also includes a session with guest facilitator Ruth Shaw, who leads movement, breathwork, and gentle yoga. No experience is needed to participate in Ruth's session.
