Wedge tailed Eagle the largest bird of prey in the continent of Australia. It is also found in southern New Guinea to the north and is distributed as far south as the state of Tasmania.Adults of the species have long, broad wings, fully feathered legs, an unmistakable wedge-shaped tail, an elongated upper mandible, a strong beak and powerful feet. The wedge-tailed eagle is one of 12 species of large, predominantly dark-coloured booted eagles in the genus Aquila found worldwide. Genetic research has clearly indicated that the wedge-tailed eagle is fairly closely related to other, generally large members of the Aquila genus.A large brown-to-black bird of prey, it has a maximum reported wingspan of 2.84 m (9 ft 4 in) and a length of up to 1.06 m (3 ft 6 in).

Colin finished putting up the tent for the Abbey Medieval Festival happening this coming weekend. In July each year, the Abbey Museum welcomes thousands of visitors to our Medieval Festival to experience life in the Middle Ages in Europe and the Middle East, from 600 to 1600AD. The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology, together with re-enactors, jousters, performers, food vendors and merchants, deliver one of Australia’s premier living history events. I'm visiting my son and his family in Brisbane, Australia.. Today we went to Redcliffe. The home of the Bee Gees. They immigrated to Brisbane in 1958 and started their singing career.
When they arrived, Barry was 11 (turning 12 in September), while fraternal twins Robin and Maurice were 8 years old. Their youngest brother, Andy Gibb, was a newborn.
Today we visited the Bee Gees wall highly recommended.

I just saw &Juliet. It flips the whole Shakespeare tragedy on its head — “what if Juliet chose herself instead of dying for Romeo?” That idea alone gives it a much more modern, empowering feel, it feels more like a celebration of life after heartbreak than a traditional love story. It was joyful, funny, high-energy, and surprisingly emotional. People cheering after songs, dancing by the end, and leaving in a great mood. It’s one of those jukebox musicals where the songs actually push the story forward instead of feeling random. It’s a must-see. Currently playing at the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, and the run has actually been extended through August 30 . Did you see it,? What did you think?
