I’m currently out of the office, attending a highly important strategic planning session… at the lake.

Objectives include:

Determining the optimal dock-to-snack ratio 🛶🍫
Conducting rigorous research on the perfect sun-to-shade balance ☀️🌳
Collecting critical data on the benefits of less screen time 📵
Ensuring maximum relaxation and creative thinking 😎

Professional emails may have to wait, but don’t worry — the findings from this research will be invaluable for my return to the “real world.”

Feeling grateful and inspired (and just a little bit hot ☀️🥵) after participating in the Run for Women on Saturday!

Seeing so many people come together with a shared purpose was truly powerful. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps support programs and services that make a difference in women's mental health.

The energy, the stories, and the sense of community were incredible reminders that when we come together, we can create meaningful change.

This month, we celebrate the strength, resilience, diversity, and contributions of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Pride is a time of joy, visibility, and connection. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels safe, respected, valued, and free to be their authentic selves.

We know that acceptance and belonging are powerful protective factors for mental health. Whether at home, in our workplaces, in our communities, or within our friend groups, each of us has a role to play in fostering inclusion and supporting one another.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the uniqueness of every individual and reaffirm our commitment to kindness, respect, and equity for all.

☀️ Summer and Mental Health: It's Not Always Sunshine and Relaxation ☀️

When we think about seasons that can impact our mental health, winter often gets most of the attention. But summer can bring its own unique challenges.
🌡️ Hot temperatures can affect our energy, mood, and sleep.
🌙 Longer daylight hours can disrupt routines and make it harder to get the rest we need.
📅 Busy schedules filled with vacations, camps, social events, and family commitments can leave us feeling stretched thin.
💰 Increased expenses and pressure to make the most of the season can add stress.
😔 And for some, seeing everyone else's "perfect summer" on social media can lead to feelings of loneliness or comparison.

If summer feels overwhelming, you're not alone.

Just as we encourage people to prepare for their mental well-being during the colder months, it's important to prioritize self-care during the warmer ones too. Stay hydrated, protect your sleep, build in downtime, and remember that it's okay to say no.
