"The supplement I recommend most... isn't actually a supplement."

Protein.

As we age, our bodies need more protein—not less.

Protein helps:

• build and maintain muscle
• stabilize blood sugar
• reduce cravings
• support metabolism
• improve recovery
• keep you feeling full longer

Many women are only eating 10–15 grams of protein at breakfast.

Your body would love closer to 25–30 grams per meal.

No fancy powders required (unless they help you meet your goals).

Sometimes the biggest health improvements come from mastering the basics.

How much protein do you think you're eating at breakfast?

Take a guess in the comments.

If you're not sure how much protein your body needs, I'd love to help. Book a discovery call through the link in my bio, and let's build a plan that's simple, realistic, and sustainable.

Stress isn't just in your head... it's affecting your waistline too."

Cortisol is your body's stress hormone.

In small amounts, it's incredibly helpful.

But when stress becomes constant, cortisol stays elevated—and that can make it harder to lose weight.

High cortisol may contribute to:

• increased belly fat
• stronger sugar cravings
• poor sleep
• higher blood sugar
• lower energy
• increased inflammation

The answer isn't to eliminate stress.

The answer is helping your nervous system recover from it.

Movement.

Sleep.

Strength training.

Time outside.

Boundaries.

Deep breathing.

These aren't luxuries.

They're part of your healthcare.

What's your biggest source of stress right now?

If you feel like stress is running your life—and your hormones—let's make a plan together. Book a discovery call through the link in my bio.

"Ever feel hangry... then guilty about it?"

Blood sugar doesn't just affect your energy.

It affects your mood, too.

When blood sugar spikes quickly and then crashes, you may notice:

• irritability
• anxiety
• brain fog
• shakiness
• intense cravings
• difficulty concentrating

Many women blame themselves for feeling "emotional."

Sometimes it's simply a blood sugar crash.

One of the easiest ways to keep your mood more stable?

Start every meal with protein and include healthy fats and fibre.

Your brain loves stable blood sugar.

And so do your hormones.

Have you ever noticed your mood changes when you haven't eaten for a while?

Comment "YES" if this sounds familiar.

If your mood feels unpredictable, let's look beyond the symptoms and find the cause. Book a discovery call through the link in my bio.

"Can we talk about the midlife muffin top?"

You've changed your eating.

You're exercising.

And somehow your jeans are still getting tighter.

Sound familiar?

As estrogen declines during perimenopause, fat storage naturally shifts toward the abdomen.

Add increased cortisol, reduced muscle mass, and insulin resistance to the mix, and suddenly your body starts storing fat in places it never used to.

This isn't because you're lazy.

It's because your metabolism is changing.

The good news?

Your body can respond incredibly well to the right nutrition, strength training, sleep, stress management, and—when appropriate—hormonal support.

You are not fighting your body.

You're learning how to work with it.

Did your weight distribution change during perimenopause?

I'd love to know if you've noticed this too.

If belly fat has become your biggest frustration, let's create a plan that works with your hormones instead of against them. Book a discovery call through the link in my bio.

"Your body has been dropping hints... are you listening?"

Insulin resistance doesn't happen overnight. It often starts with subtle signs that many women brush off as "just getting older."

Here are five common clues:

• you're always hungry, even after eating
• you crave sweets or carbs in the afternoon
• you gain weight around your midsection
• you feel exhausted after meals
• losing weight feels nearly impossible, even when you're doing everything "right"

These symptoms don't automatically mean you have insulin resistance—but they are worth paying attention to.

The sooner you recognize the signs, the sooner you can make changes that help your body work better.

Which one sounds most like you?

"Can supplements help with insulin resistance?"

They can—but they're meant to support a healthy lifestyle, not replace one.

Some supplements that have been studied for improving insulin sensitivity include:

• magnesium
• berberine
• myo-inositol
• omega-3 fatty acids
• vitamin D (if you're deficient)

The key is choosing the right supplement for the right person.

More isn't always better.

And just because something worked for your friend doesn't mean it's the best choice for you.

Before spending hundreds of dollars on supplements you saw online, make sure you're addressing the foundation first:
✔ sleep
✔ nutrition
✔ movement
✔ stress
✔ hormone health

Supplements should complement your plan—not become the plan.

Have you ever tried a supplement to help with blood sugar or weight loss?

"You can't out-exercise a lifestyle that keeps your insulin high."

The good news?

Insulin resistance is one of the most responsive conditions to lifestyle changes.

Small, consistent habits can make a huge difference.

Start with:
• prioritize protein at every meal
• lift weights 2–3 times each week
• walk after meals whenever possible
• eat plenty of fibre-rich foods
• get 7–9 hours of quality sleep
• manage stress before it manages you

Forget chasing perfection.

Your body responds to consistency, not punishment.

Every healthy choice helps your cells become more sensitive to insulin over time.

What's one healthy habit you've been trying to work on lately?

I'd love to hear what's working for you.

"I'm eating less... so why am I gaining weight?"

If you've been doing "all the right things" but the scale keeps creeping up, insulin resistance could be part of the story.

Insulin is the hormone that helps move sugar from your bloodstream into your cells to be used for energy.

When your cells stop responding as well to insulin, your body has to produce more of it to get the same job done.

Higher insulin levels can make it harder to:
• lose weight
• burn fat
• maintain steady energy
• control cravings

And yes...perimenopause can make insulin resistance more likely.

As estrogen declines, many women notice increased belly fat, rising blood sugar, and weight that suddenly seems impossible to lose.

This isn't about a lack of willpower.

It's about understanding what's happening inside your body.

Have you noticed weight gain around your middle, stronger sugar cravings, or an afternoon energy crash?

Tell me in the comments.

Can hormones actually help brain fog?

The short answer?

For many women...yes.

Estrogen plays an important role in memory, attention, learning, and communication between brain cells.

When estrogen declines during perimenopause and menopause, many women notice changes in concentration, focus, and word recall.

For some, menopausal hormone therapy can significantly improve brain fog—especially when symptoms are related to hormone changes.

But here's the important part...

Hormones are only one piece of the puzzle.

Sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, thyroid health, iron, vitamin B12, and other medical conditions all deserve a closer look, too.

The goal isn't to guess.

The goal is to understand what's driving your symptoms and create a plan that addresses the whole picture.

If someone had told you brain fog could be hormonal, would it have changed how you viewed your symptoms?

Let me know in the comments.

You don't have to accept brain fog as your new normal. If you're ready to feel sharper, clearer, and more like yourself again, book a discovery call through the link in my bio.
