Laura Amanda Wittstock
It is with profound sadness that the family of Laura Amanda Wittstock, announces her unexpected passing on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the age of 39 years.
Laura was born on July 11, 1986, at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB, and was raised in the community of Acme, AB. After graduating from Acme High School, Laura completed secondary education through SAIT, completing her practicum in Edmonton, AB, while living with family, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Acme was undoubtedly the place she proudly called home throughout her life, though, and it was where her heart truly belonged.
Laura lived a life defined by her passion for agriculture and her devotion to people. Laura possessed a natural gift with cattle, and she found true joy and purpose in her work with livestock. This same dedication shone through in her career in healthcare administration, where she was known for her exceptional capability and her genuine, caring spirit. She navigated any responsibility with a kindness that touched many lives, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and resilience, proving that no matter what the setting, her greatest skill was the care she poured into everything she did.
Laura carried a big, vibrant personality. She brought life and heartwarming, beautiful laughter wherever she went, and she will be remembered for that. The immense outpouring of support and grief from so many is a testament to the bright, unforgettable energy she shared with the world.
Like many strong souls, Laura’s road was not always easy. She faced heavy storms and difficult times with a stubborn resilience, always fighting her way toward brighter days with a strength that her family will forever admire.
Above all else, Laura’s greatest joy and deepest pride were the children in her life. Her two daughters, Kinley and Harlee, were her absolute world, and she loved them with a fierce, protective devotion. In return, they loved her with that same intensity. She was equally proud of her nieces, Emilia and Ava, and nephew, Anthony, who completely adored their auntie Laura. Likewise, Laura never missed an opportunity to show all of the kids how much she loved them, leaving them with no doubt of how deeply they were cherished. Her love will continue to wrap around them and guide them as they grow.
In addition to the children, Laura leaves behind her deeply grieving parents, Barb and Jerry Wittstock, and her loving siblings, Megan and Tanner, who are trying to navigate a world without her. She will also be profoundly missed by her extended family and dear friends, as there are so many, because Laura went out of her way to make friends wherever she went.
Laura is predeceased by her grandparents, Frank and Mary Wittstock, and Beth Thomas and Delmar Haining; and her Uncle, Clint Haining. Her family takes great comfort in knowing she is now resting in the eternal embrace of her beloved Grammie and Babcia, who surely welcomed their girl home.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Linden Alliance Church, with a Reception to follow.
Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Laura's service streamed live HERE on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording will be posted.
